In the west God was being personalized (God talks through prophet, God is angry etc..) while God is not being personalized in the east, they see "God" as 'natural force' rather than a 'person' sitting in heaven above.

In regards to 'development', I would say it works both ways between the west and the east.

I beg to differ. Development without west is not possible, he is absolutely correct....And the west could not have developed without the east. Short history flashback The east (Middle East) knew a lot, the west learned, developed and upgraded. The east, now out-dated, had to learn from the west in order to develop. They learned, developed and upgraded..........No wait, they didn't....Instead, they puckered up and secluded themselves. Just like the guy said, the Arabs want to teach but not learn.

Japan, back in the day of emperors hundreds of years ago, realized that their military was not as modern as the west. You know what they did? They waged war on the westernes, just so they could get their japanese asses kicked. Why? because they wanted to learn about modern warfare.....That is development, if any. Can you see the Middle East wanting to learn from others that bad?

I'm 'amazed' that the general perception of the "east and west" were still derived from Western Romanum and Eastern Romanum.
As such; "Italy, Spain,England, France" are west while "Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey etc.." are east.
While Japan and China are in the "Far East"..

The "Far Eastern" people had a different notion, for them "middle east" are still in the "Western world" while India marks the beginning of "Easterness".
This is somewhat 'closer to truth' in terms of 'philosophic / religion / cultural' dimension.
Abrahamic religion rules the "West" while Dharmic religion rules the "East".
The west believed in heaven and hell and judgement day while the east are more towards kharmic law and soul reincarnation.

The chinese invented gunpowder, yet it was perfected by the turks for its application in warfare and it was exported back to the east.
The mongols invented 'fast moving warfare tactics' and it was perfected and modernized by the germans with their 'blitzkrieg' in WWII.
And many more....
