I started developing my knowledge of Islam and I seem to be discovering something new every day. This thing I am battling with at the minute is contact prayer. What does it mean? should I be doing it? Does the quran actually advocate the ritual prayer? ETC.

This all started 10 years ago when I was very ignorant and my friend point out a fact about halal meat. The common misconception about meat that it has to be slaughtered a particular way invoking Allah's name at the time of the slaughter etc. Since then, I feel like I've taken the red pill (like in the matrix) and everything has been a lie!

I'd love to use this forum to discuss and discover for myself what Islam means to me.

An English translation of the Quran - 546 And We sent in their footsteps Jesus, son of Mary, authenticating what was present with him of the Torah. An English translation of the Quran - 566 If only they would uphold the Torah and the Gospel, and what is sent down to them herein from their Lord, they would be showered with blessings from above them and from beneath their feet. Some of them are righteous, but many of them are evildoers.,
