one think im worried about is though, "internalized oppresion". for example this all started for me when I realized how oppressive some laws to me as a sunni female were. thus i was worried , "hey is that actually what God wants?", and started the journey that lead me here.

however i would never have even been here if i didnt realize the unfairness and oppression of the sects, thus seeing their corruption.
so im thinking...all the millions and millions of women living under the sects...why havent they realized what i did? are they...okay to live under this oppression? '(. this is what im worried about, and i guess this means internalized oppression. i just hope Allah guides them.

confused confused confused

i hope more muslims get to know of the truth. even the western world, i hope theyr realize this is true islam, not the sects. maybe all this hate the muslims are recieving today isnt bad, maybe it will make them stop and think, and once they think, Allah guides them more. sun sun

Thanks. D

You will start to get the game these scholars are playing. It is nastier than I could ever imagine. It seems sectarians became the same people God kept condemning in the Quran.

What I have seen is that many educated women do argue with mullahs about the oppressive sunni laws. Even my mom did. But what is the use? If it is in the hadith or twisted Quran verse, then they have to surrender to it. Change isn't gonna come simply because in sects, they believe it is all in God's wish. Only when we go deeper we come to know they are scholars' wish.

By adding fictions, they have made the religion hard for people to understand. That's why, it isn't easy. I am thankful to Internet for helping me come here. Otherwise, I would have probably remained a sunni.

It isn't easy to realize if something is wrong. Here is the main problem

I have just realized that it is possible to ignore the Book without getting influenced by the sectarian scholars. They all say hadiths add details to Quran and Islam. This is the most amazing psychological manipulation I've ever experienced. Whoever came up with it deserves a gold medal. I remember how disappointed I felt towards the Book when I couldn?t find my ?true? Islamic practice in it. Fortunately, detailed hadiths came to my rescue. I was happy with the "explanations" because they matched my "supreme" sunni practices. It was consistent. And the result? I stopped looking into Quran. It became a boring vague book to me. Spending time with hadiths made more sense despite the fact that my heart kept telling me, " something is rotten in the state of Denmark". But there was tremendous peer pressure. Even when the hadith violated the Quran I couldn't protest. I didn't have the right to question. You just accept the hadith because it is from the Prophet.
