When you know you've done something wrong.. either against yourself or against someone else or both.. what do you do? What is your process of repentance? If you did something that would hurt the other person if they found out do you tell them and ask for forgiveness? Or reform and never let them know what you did?

This is just general, so please feel free to explain your own rendition of how you repent for "sins".

I'm the kind of person who cannot brush aside unpleasant things which happen to me easily.

I think you just say to yourself that you won't do it again. That you'll do it differently.
When I do something that I think wasn't that great. I try not to dwell too much on it and just say to myself that next time I'll handle it better, and I visualize myself doing it.
