My Story - part 2.

Peace Alen, honestly I think you have some sort of wierd fetish with the U.S. and would fear an individual such as yourself coming to the U.S. I'm patriotic, but you seem more patriotic than myself. It may be a good thing, your continual deportation.
I think the interpretation you have is awfully specific, but to each his/her own of course. JoeSalam.
Weird fetish?
Explain please.I only fear The God Almighty.
Why do you think it is good that i remain out of USA, that i'm banned, how does this help me? I mean, i was planning to go to Hollywood since 1991, i was praying, hoping, planning, saving money, learning the language, writing and now you say that the ban is good for me?????
How so?
Peace.

Weird fetish?
Explain please. It seems to me that in some of your posts, I'll guess maybe 10-20%, you mention this desire of yours to get to the U.S. and to make it in Hollywood. It's in my opinion like a child who constantly mentions something they're overly passionate about until their guardian takes note and does something about it. It worries me because you are also talking about how you will need funding for these projects of yours and for housing, et cetera which is similar to the technique of the child exploiting the parent. I just think you need to take it easy.

peace Alen,
You aren't waiting to get into the US, are you?
Seriously, you DO NOT need to come here to make movies! the three best movies in the world were made in New Zealand! If you want the Hollywood crowd to watch your movies, go to the UK. They'll probably let you in there.
You need to get over your disappointment of not making it to Hollywood, and think of something else. Praying and waiting will not help you in any way. -

No, i'm not waiting, i'm trying, i'm working on getting back but the disappointment comes from the slow moving.
It's not that i'm obssessed or addicted to Hollywood or that i want the crows from there to watch me make movies and .... you know, none of that is relevant.
It's just that after all this time, all my plans are destroyed with one single move. One single man destroyed what i've been building for more then a decade and because of one stupid sentence i have to suffer like some criminal.
I don't know, maybe you're right, maybe i should go to UK and start working there, maybe, i don't know. I do know this it's very hard to turn to another direction after you traveled so long into one direction.
I guess i'll have to be very patient.
The reason why i wanted Hollywood so much and still do, is this i rely on The God Almighty an dtherefore i know i can write such scripts and direct such movies where i don't have to attract audience with nudity or bad language or stuf similar to that.
Because of that, i think that these scripts that i wrote, would bring large audience to the movies, if only i was there, because i've been comparing movies made in LA for some time now, years and years and they're all quite similar, some even are made of other movies, a mixture of several other movies, like Sphere, The Runnin Man, Terminator 2, Spiderman, Matrix, .....
Because of that, i thought that because i'm from another country, i may have fresh ideas, God knows Best.
My plan was to arrive in LA, find investors, start with small movies and finally when i would get enough money, i'd produce my own movies, as a producer i'd be payed more because i'd also have my own studio, therefore, the studio (me) would get 70% of the movie's profit.
With this 70% of the money that makes it back, i can be a better Muslim, i don't wanna brag what i would do, but my goal is to reach Paradise, so you can imagine what i would do with it.Maybe i should go to UK and start there until The God finds a way for me to enter USA, again. I just don't know why i was prevented to do good in the States, when people who intend evil, are allowed.
I guess we can see that The Quran predicted this bad guys will be able to do everything they want and the good guys will have to be patient.Good point, Phoenix1, thanks.
Peace.

Definitely take baby steps so you don't crash and burn. Start making short films now. take it slow, perfect your skill. try doing it in Slovenia until you can get to somewhere else. baby steps are always the way. When you get to Hollywood, they'll want to see your past work. If you have none, they won't take you serious at all. You know how many people write scripts and hope to get famous in hollywood? too many to count. the only way to distinguish yourself from the crowd is to have films already made. finished products already piled up in a neat fashion to show the genre you work best in and your capabilities. Invest in a video cam and get working.
But in the meantime, i really do strongly suggest you get involved in some non-proft orgs or start your own community project. the best way to find a job in a land of scarce resources and few jobs is to network. the best way to network is to get out there and show the world that you're a hard worker. eventually you'll meet someone who knows someone who's searching for reliable help in his/her business.
God Bless

I guess you're right, BOOST, i guess a person must at one point put on the scale what is important and what isn't.
I always wanted to direct a small play and a parody here and then move on the bigger things. God willing.I've already heard that i can also make it in London as much as in Hollywood.
I just wanted to succeed in Los Angeles because USA has a bigger market, i mean, USA alone has 3000 cinemas, can you imagine how many screens is that?Anyway, small steps + patience = goal (goal=Paradise). God willing.
Peace.

Peace to all,
What was the one sentence you said that caused you to not be allowed entry into USA. I really dont understand how one person and one sentence got you kicked out of USA, what is the rest of the story, something just doesnt sound right about why you were kicked, could you please explain a little more brother Alen.

Peace Alen,
I know the following might sound like a broken record but, have you ever thought that all your "suffering" is a blessing in disguise? You could also be missing out on something that is good cos you're so hung up on what you are not getting. In other words you could be sitting on a gold mine and not know it.. of course these are just my thoughts..
The following link might be of some help
http//www.academia-research.com/index.htm
This will not land you in hollywood, but it might help you make a buck or two. You can also google for BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) companies..
If all you want is glitz, glamour and a silly story line bro try hollywood (no offence to anyone from the States ), if what you want is to produce a good movie that has substance try anywhere BUT hollywood..
"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players"
-ShakespeareExplore the stage and the players
Also, have you seen this? http//news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5019116.stm
Old news but perhaps they might be interested in what you have written..
Good luck!

Respectfully.Hi, my name is Alen Deomi, i was born in 1978 in Ljubljana, the
capital of Slovenia, then-republic of Yugoslavia. On August 8th, 1999 i arrived at the International Airport in San Francisco
and right at the US customs i was approached by a cop who offered me a job. I
did not know this was against the law, so i accepted it, even though, i didn't
look for a job.
I was told that i will be deported from the States. I spent one night in jail
and the next morning they put me on the plane and i arrived home safely. On January 5th or 6th, 2006 i went to the US embassy and asked them if i
needed a passport renewal or an entry visa. The man working there, Slovenian
citizen, told me no. I asked him again and he replied the same. I said that i
don't want to arrive to San Francisco and be told that i didn't bring a visa or something. He assured me my passport is okay and gave me back my passport
after just checking the inside of it, just the first page.I went to the travel agency and bought a return ticket to San Francisco. I
changed flights in Munchen, Germany. On January, 9th, 2006 i got on the plane in Ljubljana at 0700 and arrived in
Munchen an hour later where i got on the plane in the afternoon and arrived at
San Francisco Int., Airport at 1800. I was checked normally at the US
customs, took less then a minute but because i wrote on the form that i got in
the plane, that i have been deported once before, i was redirected to
Secondary Customs, where i met Homeland Security. They asked me where is my
entry visa and after i told them that US embassy in my country didn't tell me
i needed one, they exchanged looks and told me that they will deport me again.I asked for asylum, because i was afraid to return to Slovenia and i am still
afraid to be in this country. I was transfered to San Jose, department of
correction, main jail. There i spent 26 days and during all this time, i was
treated nice and with respect. I met immigration judge in San Francisco twice
and on the first meeting he advized me to get a lawyer. I did and the next
time i came, lawyer was already there but she did not do that much. She told me that i was illegal alien and that i will be deported. The judge said i am not eligible for bail and that i can fight for my case. I
asked if i can fight for my case from outside, because i have relatives in San
Francisco, uncle and his two sisters and they all have families, they're from
Bosnia. Judge told me i cannot fight my case from outside.I then said to the judge that i wanna go home. He said that he can send me
home but then i wouldn't be able to enter the States for the period of 10
years. He also said that if i cross the border illegaly, that i would be sent
to federal prison for 20 years. This scared me, so i went home.On February, 3rd, 2006 they drove me back to the airport and sent me back
home. Throughout all this i was treated okay. Now i'd like to know why was i deported, why was i given false information at
US embassy here in Ljubljana, Slovenia, why can't i come to America and can
this ban be removed or at least reduced?I'd also like to know, what did i personally do wrong, because as far as i'm
concerned, i did nothing, nothing at all, wrong here. I was given false
information and if i knew that entry visa is something i needed, i would have
applied for one.Peace.

Sikes, i'm not looking for glamour, glitz, fame, glory, money, etc, etc.....
I wanna be in the industry where a Muslim such as myself (Quran Alone Follower) can make movies that will help Muslim community, can help people all over the world.Arnold Schwarzenegger has $300.000.000 USD. Can you imagine what kinda Muslim would he be, if he accepted Islam, followed just The Quran and spent all his fortune, except what he and his family needs on, let's say .... Africa? Chad - the poorest country in the world.
Did you know that 25 kids out of 100 in Chad can read and write?
With movies we can make money and eliminate that shame of human race.
This is the 21. century, for the Love Of The God people how can we allow this?Peace.

The police officer asked you to do something illegal? Why did you say yes! I'm only guessing that it was not an ordinary job ... was it? if it was just the fact that you're not allowed to work with the type of visa you have and he was offering you a legitimate job, then that is called solicitation and you could fight it in the courts and probably win. The officer cannot coerce otherwise innocent citizens into violations just to invent a charge that would have never taken place to begin with. Actually, its difficult. You may win you may not. Most likely you knew or should have known that with your type of visa you could not seek employment. Not sure honestly. If it was an illegal job such as drug trafficking or something then you're definitely screwed. (Why would you do that, bro?????? and you want to go to u.s. to make good i'm disappointed in you...) Don't expect to go to u.s. if you've been charged with attempt to commit any type of felony, if that was the case.
Anyways, the world is huge. And quite honestly, there are much nicer places to live than the u.s. You have all of europe right in your backyard and you ignore it ! How beautiful and much more civilized some of these countries are... you're very lucky indeed.

No, the police officer (at that time i didn't know he was a cop) didn't offer me anything illegal. His precise words were"Hi, looking for work?" My answer"Yeah." Why? I didn't know. How was i suppose to know?
I'm a Slovenian citizen, we don't need any kind of visas to enter USA unless a person was deported onc ebeforem, then and in case of work or student excahnge program or fiancee visa, then, yes, then you need a visa.
However, on the form, that a person entering USA receives, i did write that was looking for a job, but, bear in mind that i was not looking for illegal job, i wanted to ask for a permit beforehand.
I never wanted to enter any country with atempt to do anything wrong, bad or to break that's country's laws, that's ridicilous. I'm not 5, i know right from wrong, i thought the guy was looking for workers and i'm not lazy and i figured on the way to his office i'd be informed how to get a work permit.
Yes i do have all of Europe. I only speak Bosnian, Sloven and Englsih. Bosnia is a post-war country, Slovenia is trying to mimic USA and England is too far but i'm already talking with some people over there how to get work permits to direct movies and stuff.
Thank you and good luck.
Peace.

Aaaah i see that makes more sense then. well if he just offered you a job i still think you can win. that's a really shady reason to imprison and deport someone! if you actually started working then they would have something on you. but attempt to get a job?!?!?! never heard of it! i say if you want to, you should fight it. i don't know how it would work if you're abroad but perhaps you can hire a lawyer who would speak on your behalf.
Attempting to get a job when you don't have a work visa may be a violation but it's not a crime. And you can't be charged with attempting to do it. I think they were just being malicious and you definitely have a case. But don't go by my info ask a lawyer.
And you were still in the airport don't they still have to explain to you what you can and can't do with your type of visa? You were not even given that yet...
Anyways, God Willing you'll have a better life wherever you are. We could only wish the best for our Bosnian bro )

Thank you BOOST, thank you very much, i truily appreciate this. I think i know one lawyer but he's in Arizona. But i will try, God willing.
If anyone knows a lawyer out there in San Francisco, i'd be very glad to make email contact with him/her, doesn't matter but i really do wanna fight for my case.
Thanks, BOOST. I will pray that The God Almighty Most Powerful reward you with Paradise. With the highest level of Paradise.

Peace bro Alen,
Don't misunderstand me, I am not questioning your intentions ) I agree with you about Arni and all that, but is hollywood the only place? (rhetorical question). I still stand by what I said, "Explore the stage and the players". India might be a good venue (just a thought).
Anyway if and when (God willing) you become a major director/producer don't forget to remember us 'little people' ;D
Good luck!!
