      Peace

The sunna mentioned seems to deal with God's method of dealing with humanity, His relationship with us.

        Peace honor,

Welcome to the forum sis honor welcome

The word "sunnah" has been mentioned in relation with Allah in al-qur'aan as bro Joe has mentioned, but has not been mentioned in relation with Prophet Muhammad (3338, 3362, 3543, 4085, 4823)

The word used for the example of the messenger in al-qur'aan is "uswa"

3321 Indeed, in the messenger of God a good example (uswa) has been set for you for he who seeks God and the Last Day and thinks constantly about God.

We can find all the examples of messengers of God relevant to our guidance in al-qur'aan itself.

179 This Quran guides to that which is more upright, and it gives glad tidings to the believers who do good work that they will have a bountiful reward.
1710 And for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful retribution.
1711 And man calls to evil as much as he calls to good, and man was always hasty.
1712 And We made the night and the day as two signs, so We erased the sign of night and We made the sign of day to see-in, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know the number of the years and the count. And everything We have detailed completely.

          Salam Aleikum,

Shokran, Thanks..for your reply. I knew the sunnah was meaning, the way of life, however,...my husband seems to think that it is specific ways in which muhammad lived that we must follow, as in hadiths as law. And he and I are arguing about this. He feel there is nothing in the sunnah that contradicts the Quran, but I beg to differ..because if the sunnah is to follow muhammad through hadiths, then it does contradict the Quran. Anyway..I appreciate your input.

            Salam Aleikum Tanveer, sun

I appreciate your reply, but see a contradcition in one of your surahs, although I agree with you, I believe you have misunderstood, the surah...or what I really mean to say,...is you did not misunderstood it, but sunnis will, because they can easily manipulate that surah into the valditity of there assumption that the sunnah is to follow Muhammad's (PBUH) life, even by hadiths. This is the surah I am talking about

3321 Indeed, in the messenger of God a good example (uswa) has been set for you for he who seeks God and the Last Day and thinks constantly about God.

See we quranic believers believe that it means to follow Muhammad(PBUH) as in following his message of the quran. handshake but sunnis, misconstrue it to mean literally follow Muhammad(PBUH) and his life, examples, and every ludicrious conjecture elektro that the hadiths proclaimed he lived by and said to follow!

therefore, this is not the best surah in our defense. But I appreciate all the others

              Peace honor,

That is why I quoted 3321 and 179-12 to prove that all the true examples of messengers relevant to our guidance are in al-qur'aan already so we don't need any other source. The God has preserved only His revelations and it would be foolish to follow any other source which can never be 100% accurate and true.

6836 What is wrong with you, how do you judge?
6837 Or do you have another book which you study?
6838 In it, you can find what you wish?

487 God, there is no god but He. He will gather you for the Day of Resurrection in which there is no doubt. Who is more truthful in HADEETH than God?

The words of The God are fully detailed relevant to our guidance, so why do we need another source ?

6114 "Shall I seek other than God as a judge when He has sent down to you this scripture fully detailed?" Those to whom We have given the Scripture know it is sent down from your Lord with truth; so do not be of those who have doubt.

12111 In their stories is a lesson for the people of intelligence. It was not a HADEETH that was invented, but an authentication of what was already revealed and a detailing of all things, and a guidance and mercy to a people who believe.

1712 And We made the night and the day as two signs, so We erased the sign of night and We made the sign of day to see-in, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know the number of the years and the count. And everything We have detailed completely.

The Qur'aan authenticates and confirms the previous scriptures, and what did The God say about one of the previous scriptures ?

6154 Then We gave Moses the scripture, to complete for those who do right, and to fully detail all things, and a guide and mercy that they may believe in the meeting of their Lord.

7145 And We wrote for him on the tablets from everything a lesson, and detailing all things. Take it with strength and order your people to take the best from it. I will show you the abode of the corrupt.

All the true hadeeth relevant to our guidance are in al-qur'aan already, and we do not need any other source.

3923 God has sent down the best HADEETH, a scripture that is similar with two paths. The skins of those who reverence their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts soften up to the remembrance of God. Such is God's guidance; He guides with it whoever He wills. And for whomever God misguides, then none can guide him.

We should not accept baseless hadeeth, which are unverifiable hearsay based on conjecture

316 And from the people, there are those who accept baseless HADEETH to mislead from the path of God without knowledge, and they take it as entertainment. These will have a humiliating retribution.

Those who invent these false hadeeth are enemies of the prophets

6112 And as such, We have permitted the enemies of every prophet, human and Jinn devils, to inspire in each other with fancy words in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications.

We should be aware that the majority of the people on earth misguide others by following conjectures

6116 And if you obey the majority of those on Earth they will lead you away from God's path; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess.

1036 Most of them only follow conjecture. While conjecture does not avail against the truth in anything. God is aware of what they do.

The disbelievers conjecture and invent and fabricate fale hadeeth about the messengers and lie to misguide others

6148 Those who have set up partners will Say "If God wished, we would not have set up partners, nor would have our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything." Those before them lied in the same way, until they tasted Our might. Say "Do you have any knowledge to bring out to us? You only follow conjecture, you only guess."

5328 While they had no knowledge about this; they only followed conjecture. And conjecture is no substitute for the truth.

What will be our answer to the following questions asked by The God ?

7185 Did they not look at the dominion of heavens and Earth, and all that God has created? Perhaps their time is drawing near; so in which HADEETH after this one will they believe?

456 These are God's revelations that We recite to you with truth. So, in which HADEETH after God and His revelations do they believe?

7749 Woe on that Day to the disbelievers!
7750 So in what HADEETH after it will they believe?

Excellent! sun..yes these are the very same surahs I shared with my husband, but he only said that I was making up my own religion...even that I said, Im only following the quran. He has refused to allow me to be muslim in this manner. And left me, and text me he is filing for divorce tommorow. Sheesh~ brickwall...I have tried so hard to just be me, and was punished for it, now..I am left and abandoned for it. The only thing that makes me feel good...is that I believe I am following the quran and not conjecture, so if I'm left for not following conjecture, then I never had a place in his heart anyway...

                    Peace be upon you,

my husband seems to think that it is specific ways in which muhammad lived that we must follow

Instead of following a mna named "Muhammad" which none can prove beyond Arab stories the same way no Christians can prove Jesus, etc.....teach yourself and your husband about being "muhammad". The word "muhammad" is NOT the name of some historical prophet. The word "muhammad" comes from the word "hamd"(exalted)..the same way that "muslim" comes from "salaam" and the same way "masjid" comes from "sujood".

When we add the prefix "mu" to a word, it only means that we have taken on that meaning. The word "muhammad" only means "one who is exalted" and it is a state that ALL OF US must reach for.

There is symbolizm in this message...we are likened to mountain climbers...

                    (263) And when We took your promise/covenant , and We raised above you the mountain ......

(701-3) (An) asker/questioner asked/questioned about a falling torture to the rejecters (there) is not for it (a) repeller/pusher from The God of the methods of ascent ?

There is another verse that I cannot find that states that God will make the climb difficult for those who reject, however the verse is not properly translated so I cannot find it in search engines...hopefully someone can assist me with fiding it.

Do you know of any support group for women muslimahs that are quran only believers? I would like to speak with someone about my pain;... my husband leaving me for this.

                      Much appreciated.

Wow! Thank you for teaching me something new, I never knew. Very edcuational. I would love to study more in the translation of meaning of arabic words. We have a college here that has a Bachelor's and Master's program In Arabic, and it covers everything from street, to formal, to islamic arabic, and teaches you also to read and write in arabic, with each different caliphagraphy styles. Pretty cool, if I say so myself!

                        peace

                          Peace sis honor,

Before you get carried away, please go through the following discussion by brother Asad with brother Ayman in which he proves that "Muhammad" as used in al-qur'aan is also the proper name of the Prophet especially in 472

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. You should keep making all humanly possible efforts for reconciliation and education of your husband about the true islam but if he still wants to persist in his ways then you may be right that he might not have any place for you or Allah in his heart. There is no reason to continue a relationship when there is no mental and spiritual compatibilty any more and in that case it might be best to part ways. Every individual situation is different however, so you should use your own judgment and wisdom as to what is the best course of action in your situation. I don't know if there are any children involved because then the matter becomes more complicated. I hope Allah gives you patience and makes that course of action happen which is the best for you. After all, this life is just an illusion and a test and the real life will be the life hereafter in which there will be no problems.

Keep in mind that no soul is burdened beyond what it can bear

742 As for those who believe and do good; We do not burden a soul beyond its means; those are the dwellers of Paradise, in it they will abide.

2135 Every soul will taste death. And We burden you with evil and good as a test, and it is to Us that you will return.

2362 And We do not burden a soul except with what it can bear. And We have a record that speaks with the truth, they will not be wronged.

2286 God does not burden a soul beyond its means. For it is what it earns, and against it is what it earns. "Our Lord, do not mind us if we forget or make mistakes; our Lord, do not place a burden upon us as You have placed upon those before us; our Lord, do not place upon us what we cannot bear; pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us; You are our patron, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people."

6152 "And do not come near the money of the orphan, except for what is best, until he reaches his independence; and give honestly full measure and weight equitably. We do not burden a soul except by what it can bear, and if you speak then be just even if against a relative; and regarding the pledges made to God, you shall observe them. This He has enjoined you that you may remember."

Seek Allah's help with patience and salat and the support will surely come

245 And seek help through patience, and through the salat/connection. It is a difficult thing, but not so for the humble.

2153 O you who believe, seek help through patience and through the salat/connection, God is with the patient ones.

Put your trust in Allah and He will make things happen if they are meant to happen

653 And He will provide for him whence he never expected. Anyone who puts his trust in God, then He suffices him. God's commands will be done. God has decreed for everything its fate.

You can try sending a PM to the mods, who might know of any support groups for women in a situation like yours. You should make "dua" in the words of 2286. May Allah help you and support you and give you patience and strength to deal with this test.

                            Salam Tanveer,

I really appreciate your help, and the surahs that you have shared. I do not have any children, which is probably best considering my situation right now. I have and will continue to pray to god to guide my husband, and to also guide me to the best path, I have held on for a long time, and I will continue to hold onto my husband, but it is him, that is constantly threatning to leave me for believing as I do in islam...but I will continue to hold on as long as I can. I love him very much, and want the best for us insha'allah.
