    Like a head doctor. I'm curious, are any of us able to recognize a person's posts as becoming seriously unhealthy? I ask because religion can bring about strong emotions. You know, it's scary. I don't believe that God intended for us to go mad over this stuff. You know, love Him, worship Him, obey Him (come on, you know right from wrong) & obey the messengers, and Jesus said PEACE !!! But don't become angry with others because of it. And as a convert, awestruck by the God I've come to know since first reading the Holy Quran, I refuse to believe the bad things people have said to me about Muhammed when I tell them I'm Muslim. He didn't love war and believe it was the answer for everything, right? And I don't really know why we're mad at Iran, but someone suggested we just send all the teenagers laptops and stuff and give them strength to stand up for themselves and that could help. Look, I love this forum, some of you people are flipping brilliant, use that God given intelligence to find solutions to the worlds problems. I mean don't we all agree enough that God (I love you Allah) wants us to do good (what is good, hmmm?)? How can wars (killing people) ever be good? I mean this forum is a gift. We should use it to uplift each other, help repair what extremists have done/are doing to this beautiful religion, and have some fun in what should be a safe place. And we should really be praying that we (America) chill on the whole war thing. I mean come on as much as I'd like to smack an ex-friend of mine, what the hell would it solve? I mean couldn't we just play video games against them to prove points or something? I mean how the f#$! would we like it if we couldn't go outside because we might get bombed? Oh wait sorry, I forgot I meant to talk about making sure posters weren't going crazy. No but seriously, we should be going crazy over not pulling together and stopping this stuff. Please don't tell me that it says in the Quran that we should kill people. I'm not talking about defending ourselves. Cause if someone came to my home (house, country, anywhere I'm living my life) and attacked me, I'd so kick their (you know). I mean last week I couldn't stop thinking about how the Quran says (until I learn Arabic and can take full responsiblity, I'm sometimes scared to say "God says", whole nother subject) to chop off a thieves hands. And that just didn't make sense. And I like kept thinking how that doesn't solve anything and how the God I think I know is so way more smarter than we could ever even kinda get, cause then who takes care of the thief guy/girl now that he/she can't anymore, and how that puts all this pressure on families who might feel responsible and just how, yikes, I stole a gumball once when I was 10 (my mom caught me and made me go pay for it &gt, you know like what if it was his first time and , so anyway if you're human you get my point. Ok, back to the surah (thief), ureka! (picture a gentle version of God giving me an "oh, I could have had a v8&quot, I found another translation of that surah that explained it in a way that at least (I haven't thought about it specifically yet) made more sense. Cause let's face it, God's as sane as they come. It's us loopity-oops that goof it all up. Let me recap whatever that all was cause seriously,
    a) What should we do if we read a post that sounds as if the poster wants to seriously hurt themselves or others?
    b) What are we going to do to take back our religion? Without guns & sticks!
    c) I MUST learn Arabic, where should I begin?
    d) Thanks for being here!

    Peace Beautiful People, Peace

        I'm sorry Jankren, I was just going on and on about giving peace a chance and stuff like that. Yeah, it would give me a headache to read it to. I tend to write in a very free thought process style. Sorry about that. But thanks for at least trying. peace

          Peace Lily, All

          Cutting the thief's hand in the Quran should not be taken literally.

            Peace sis

            hmm i'm not sure exactly what you're asking ... was it about some posts you read that you thought were insane or was it about the thief verse?

            as for the thief verse, my understanding of it is that the word "cut" means alot of things and one of them is to mark. so you don't mark them physically either but you mark their records. sort of how Miranda Act works in America, with sex offenders.

            as for the crazy posts, i can't judge since half of mine are whacked too ;D

              Salam.

              Well, i know that we all have enough intelligence to see right and wrong.
              A human being is created in such a way that s/he can tell what is truly sick and what's normal and logic.

              Peace. angel

                Peace be upon you Lilyfleur,

                Peace is indeed the answer, but it is a peaceful state of mind where you are not moved by emotion, instead you COMMAND your energies(emotions).

                Salaam= peace
                Islam = peacefulness
                Muslim = one who is peaceful (at peace)

                Submission falls under the word "sujood" and is closely ties with Peace, however when we properly understand the real meaning of "Islam" we can see how correct you are to strive for peace. This is why we greet "PEACE be upon you" (not submission be upon you). We are to strive to correct out minds so that there is NO EVENT that can come to us that can move us from this state of PEACE. That is the Garden! Being ruled by emotion is the FIRE...and when we die, we continue with our same state of mind we died with which is why we are told "DO NOT DIE EXCEPT AS ONE WHO IS AT PEACE.

                Here is something for you to ponder...have you noticed how your rate of breathing is tied into your emotions? Look how shallow and fast one breathes when emotional. The reSPIRITory system is crucial. We can dicuss this in another thread...but for now, just observe yourself and others. It is time for us to open Al Kitaab (the observable laws of the universe).
