The mathematical evidence, whcih was the oly one which could prove the validity of the five daily salat, has been falsified to a great extent thus weakening this 24434 concept of salat. Hence we need to reconfirm our understandings of salat and therefore ive created a salat poll. Also by performing 24434 slaat sunnis are able to claim that we require hadith since those mention these rakats in one part or another. This is perhaps the last part of sunnisism we need to abandon and i might do so soon as evidence solidifies on how to perfom it according to Quran. GOD Bless! -

Actually I agree with most of this post on the manner to perform prayers, this is exactly how I do them,, it looks like an exact copy that I found on Submitters .org. I see nothing wrony with performing them this way but of course it shouldnt be enforced with whips as you say Zenje, but we should pray, and if you agree that we should then isnt this method just about as good as it gets,, can you think of a better way? Also, I see no problem with praying 5 times a day, i understand some think it should only be 3 times but do you really think it matters if we pray 5 times, it wont hurt us to perform more prayers rather than less do you,,, if you prefer 3 then that would also be good, its up to each of us to decide right.

Abraham was a Jew. They pray 3 times pr. day. Many christians pray 3 times pr. day. Even if the Quran states Abraham was a muslim, it does not mean he was the first. The practise has not changed. Muslims should also pray 3 times pr. day. And as the Quran states, you have been given the seven oft repeated verses. Also wudu,(shower in modern times) you can see from the other variants of this religion, that it is usually perfomed before prayer, and also, that co-incides with a regular 3 meals pr. day. Makes quite good sense to incorporate all these rituals into one, don't you think?

From my own personal experience in delving into the matters of "Salat", the more I delve the more I realize that notions such as "my view is the only correct manner to 'perform' Salat" couldn't hold water at all.
If you think 5-time is the best view then follow it, as anyone who has the 2-time, 3-time, 4-time, 6-time, or n-time views.

The Correct Azaan
If you pray by yourself, an Azaan is not needed. The Azaan is usually observed when a group of people are ready to observe the prayer. One person stands up and utters the Azaan words, or chants them as follows
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (God is great, God is great).

these submitter guys are doing the same mistake of coining Gods ways of worship just like the hadith guys did. In true islam there is nothing like 5 contact prayers or azan or kalimatus shahdah. these are all inovations that we all are trying to run away from. if it is not in the Quran please do not say it is there . it what God does not like. Prayer is simply a wish that you request from God and Him Alone . And this is Done without any sitting, standing or bending. All these rituals were derived from Bhudism. Islam is so simple and free.

dua is a prayer i adress to god - actually my talking to him, anytime anywhere.
for salat i take time to prepare, wash, need calm around me. What i actually do is still much influenced by traditionnal salat, but i do it freely. recite quran, do dikhr, try to meditate. IMO the most appropriate times are dawn and dusk.

Human consciousnes is like a cross! A horizontal dimension which we call space and time; the world. and a vertical dimension which is non-temporal! The abode of the HIGHER-SELF. we search along the horizontal line to find the intersection point with the vertical! In that point we can connect to the vertical dimension.First i empty myself. Taking Just some time to simply sit and breath slowly and gently.
Then i start to praise by repeating the sacred word or words my choice is 11 or La Illaha el ALLAH! or 99 names
i repeat them till my lips become sweat! Take those words which in content and sound touches you! ( Be picky over choosing the right mantra). mantra should be sacred for you! It must be able to vibrate you from inside!
You become so full of GOD that no room remains for no concerns! no belongings! no expectation! The objects within mind disappear!
The sphere of consciousness is now filled with sacred word and LOVE which arises by its own accord! and the subject starts also to vanish. There remains no reference to I, me, mine frame of mind! ! There is nobody remained to ask. This is the state of trance. where one starts to get purified deeply. subconcious becomes affected by that which at that moment is present within that space! It gets soaked in sacred sound of PRAISE and LOVE! Very little sense of time is left! Now you are in the state of salvation from lower self!

I think alpha makes good sense i give your credit. I try to focus the same way when i want to be in front of God. I might not see him but i that my mind and body parts are calm. It doesn't happen alot tho because sometimes i don't know how to calm myself from the stress of the daily routines. I try tho
