salat and dua

i'm sorry if the topic has been discussed
but i found several different ways and i'd like to know which is correct way
so i'd just like to askhow and when does one perform salat?
and how and when does one perform dua?
and what words are used for each?peace

as a matter a fact, i did. i found that we have to praise and glorify Allah and that we have to bow and prostrate to Him. i was just wondering is that called dua(prayer)?
because i heard elsewhere that dua means to call onto God, that it doesn't consist of bowing and prostrating. so what does it consist of, that's why i asked?i thought salat means prayer but aparently it means something else, bond or oath,
so i don't know how to do that, how do i... perform an oath?
i thought someone here who has more knowlage about it could tell me.peace

Salaat in traditional sense is a composite spiritual practice! Its elements are witnessing, praying, remembering, affirming, glorifying. It is a practice with symblic washing and movements.
its purpose is to create a shift in consciousness to connect to our higher self and align ourselves with that wich we long to become. Other religions have their own practices to create the same function.
Dua is when you compress all your focus, intention and attention on your NEED and acknowledge that and reach out for a solution! You have to ASK. from ASKING comes acknowledgement and full awareness of it.and you ASK with all sincerity that you can find in your heart from GOD to receove that.
