the lonegst dream ever should last a few seconds

My dreams last for hours? sometimes like 12 hours.
When I was a kid I used to have the wildest nightmares, they were so bizarre, it was the same 'story' all over again night after night, I used to have nightmares that all the adults in my family wanted to eat up all the kids in my family eat, so me and my sisters and cousins used to hide at an empty old school so the adults can't eat us up.
There was one particular time in my nightmare that my dad had a long, sharp knife and managed to find me in the school yard, he grabbed my leg and was about to butcher me voodoo and at the moment I woke up. The weird thing was that when I woke up I could feel a hand holding my leg for about five seconds, which was creepy because nobody really grabbed my leg, it was all in the dream. ???
Strangely one particular Adult in my family, who is despised by everyone, was the only one to help us in my dream. And all the nice people in my family were the evil ones in my dreams. ???
These dreams happened so often when I was a kid I always used to try and stop my self from sleeping.
When I was really young it scared me so much, even when I woke up I still could not stop crying.
I never really told anyone about them, because my silly aunty said she read in a hadith that if you have a bad dream and tell someone about it, it will come true. &
I did recently tell my parents about them and they were horrified that I used to get dreams like that. hypno
Can anybody here interpret dreams?
One things for sure, it is impossible to "die" in your dream, coz as soon as you are about to die you either get "saved" or you wake up.

I'm actually very serious, dreams only happen at the time of Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep and this only happens at the moement you falling asleep and only lasts for seconds, however some humans may expeirence REM midway of sleep, possibly REM sleep occurs to them every 90 - 100 minutes, 3 to 4 times a night

The amount of times dreams last vary depending on if it is your first sleep cycle of the night or a later one. Dreaming also only takes place during the REM cycle. There are 5 stages to the sleep cycle - and this takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. About 5% of the 90 minutes is spent in stage 1, 50% in stage 2, 20% in stage 3/4, and 25% in the REM stage. The cycles repeat ~4-6 times a night. Age also makes a difference in how quickly you slip into a REM stage and how long you stay there.

What Ahmed says is true. Its relativitiy. But im not sure whether this also holds true for day dreams where the brain is much more active since it already rested throughout the night. It was this type of dream phase i had. In those the time dilation factor is much less according to my knowledge. GOD Bless! -

What you feel has a lot to do with your mind also. People who have been hypnotized, were told that they were exposed to extreme hot rods, when the psychologist hold his pencil against the skin, burnmarks showed. The power of suggestion has great impact on our experience.

None really can intepretate dreams of another. Let's say for example you are afraid of water, and you dream about swimming and you tell me, I will interpretate the dream differently then you. Dreams are conversations between your subconciousness and conciousness. Hidden thoughts or feelings come out in your dreams and are expressed in little 'movies'. So you can only know your dream.

Than He withholds those on whom He has passed the decree of death, and sends the other back till an appointed term. Surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect." (Quran 3942). If our Soul joins the "Super-Hologram" during our sleep and is able to construct "reality" in our dreams and we experience all the sensations - be they fear or joy or pain or whatever and yet we have not physically experienced them. It?s a reminder that our Soul is capable of reproducing all our emotions without the physical body or brain.
