During the 17th century people also thought all sciences were invented, all philosophies thought off. It will never stop, Allah's Kalimat is endless.

      That?s very interesting );

One of the most basic theories is, is that
1.all will implode and form a new bigbang.
      2. all will be dragged into black holes, and then will create a new bigbang on the other side of the holes.

Which one is more likely to happen? confused

        Peace Angel, Arnold,

Thanks for the links. And yes, the quantum world is reaaally exciting. It's like we climbed a mountain thinking it's the top of the world, and we look upon the other side only to witness a sea of new potential stretching infinitely to the horizon. It is magical, for lack of a better word, to ponder that quantum particles appear only because we're looking! This has certainly turned conventional wisdom on it's head and demands a new "type" of researcher.

I thought they used to take scientific theories as indisputable facts.

No true scientist would take such an anchored position. Theories and facts are not the same. But even facts are few.

        the?o?ry
        ?noun, plural -ries.

        1. a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena Einstein's theory of relativity.
        2. a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.

        Peace,
        Tay

Science will Reach Its Peak When We know Everything there Is To Know about The World and its Contents . Is Spontaneous Knowledge Possible for Human Being ?

I wouldn't worry about science reaching a peak so soon. There are still lots of mysteries to be explained by science.

Consciousness, for example. Science has yet to discover whether consciousness can exist separately from the physical body.

No Angel, with the Quantum Field, new frontiers lay ahead of us, ain't it Tay? )

Many these experiments were carried out decades ago, and they still have not made it to the text books at high school.

              Peace

Many new sciences have not reached it into high school books as high school books are state funded. Thus the state decides it, not the scientific community. Also this is such a revolutionaire way of thinking, it needs time to get used for the scientific community. Same happened with Einstein in the first decade, he was ridiculed, now he is the greatest scientist ever.

My history teacher said that people claim that what we are taught at school is nothing but British propaganda, she did not elaborate on that point so I never quite knew what she meant.

I remember coming across a book in Amazon.com which was called something like "Lies my teacher told me", coz the book was about History lessons taught in America I did not buy it and I could not find a book with a similar theme about history lessons in England.

Do you believe that what you were taught about history at school is fairly accurate? Or does the government in your country have their own agenda to promote. >

like tommy lee jones said in men in black 1500 years everybody knew the earth was the center of the universe, 500 years ago everybody knew the earth was flat.

there is still a lot to be researched

but that doesn't matter because i don't think there will be much of the world to explore since we're destroying this planet so much. soon there will be no air, no oil, water will rise...
                          i don't think we'll see the year 2500.

Today I read in 'the Independent' (the only newspaper in Britain that is actually worth reading) that scientists have discovered over 500 new creatures in Antarctica that were previously unknown to science. yay

I'll start by saying, I not well versed in any branch of the sciences. Nonetheless, I've concluded that scientific knowledge is limited to the technological abilities available to each generation. As technology increases, new theories and discoveries appear. In turn, many old theories are disproved and new light is shed on past discoveries. Every generation claims its theories and discoveries provide irrefutable explanations, only to have the next generation disprove them or greatly expand on them. I don't think science will ever reach its peak, because man does not have the capacity to develop all encompassing scientific technology. There will always be things we cannot explain and there will always be things in existence that we will never even know exist.

                              Humbly,

                              Brian

Science will never end, as long as there is a universe to be understood, and humans to do the understanding.

Physics ending in 20 years is a pipe dream.
