Only Middle East?

PEace Bro Maxq
but isn't the message supposed to be for all of humanity? There are ayat that only we could understand today but would have made no sense to the bedouins. Like the mountains moving.
Anyways, i'm not sure. maybe there are theories of people mentioned in the quran that relate to native americans let's say, and i just don't know about it.

possible... or, perhaps the Quran was destined to be "globalized" when information is "globalized"... the examples of previous civilizations was necessary to have maximum impact in the highly localized environment during the time of the revelation.

yea i am of the belief that these stories are of a literal, and analogous nature depicting the physical trials plus a more general spiritual journey.
so for the literal part, i'm just troubled with the idea that all the stories seem to come out of the same area while God's earth is alot bigger. Even if you believe that its only referencing people but not that any of the events literally occurred, there still is the problem of why they're all from the same spot.
But your analysis bro maxq, does make sense.

I don't think the quran mentions where they live. Does it?
I think it's very unimportant and irrelevant where these characters lived. With all due respect , Phoenix1, but I don't agree with you.
If the location of past nations is completely irrelevent, then God wouldn't have told us in the Quran to explore the Earth and see what became of them.
{Did they not roam the Earth and note how was the consequence for those who were before them? And they were even more powerful than they in strength. But nothing can deter God be it in the heavens, or in the Earth. He is Knowledgeable, Omnipotent.}.............................
{And We have not sent before you except men, to whom We gave inspiration, from the people of the towns. Would they not roam the Earth and see how was the punishment of those before them? And the abode of the Hereafter is far better for those who are aware. Do you not comprehend?}..........
Archeology is important because it's a subjective and neutral science that can either validate or refute the often biased and corrupted historical accounts.
Any historical account that is not supported by physical, archeological evidence, must be dissmissed as hearsay. While I agree that it shouldn't become our obsession to know where they lived, as it is not necessarily crucial to our salvation, but that doesn't mean it's completely irrelevent.
Peace..

Salam.
Didn't Abraham travel to the land where the people had nothing to cover themselves with from the sun?
Sounds like Japan or China.Maybe, i don't know but those people who have a bit yellowish skin, aren't they also mentioned in The Quran?
Good topic, BOOST.

History informs us that the people of China were long Civilized while the European still lived in Caves and Eat each other for a Couple of Thousand years more . So, I don't think Abraham came to China or Japan to give them Clothes to cover themselves . How many Verses in The Quran that Informs us That, Allah sent Prophets/Messengers/Warners to every Nation, Tribe in their own Languages?. Just because The Quran mentioned several Mid-East people and Locations , Does not mean All happened there !
Cheers

I think you're refering to "Zhulqarnayn" (Cyrus the Great), as mentioned in chapter 18 ("The Cave".

What he said.
Also, I think it's more than just coincidence, seeing as though civilization started off in the middle east, most notably Iraq and the rest of the fertile crescent (Abraham's first and second homes). You will find such stories carried from long in our People's history Flood etc.
