Verse 69:31 Thumma Jahiima Salluh..........

Salaamun alaykum
Could anyone please explain the meaning of Salluh in this Verse ? FM translated the whole ayat as " Then to Hell cast him " . I have looked in Lane but could not find reference to this Salluh . Please give the Root and possible meanings .

This verb appears in 17 verses, all with connection to hell, and not anything else To broil, fry, grill...It is of the same root at salaat (saad laam wau), but it is a form I verb, whereas salat takes form II. It's interesting that you bring this to attention!!

Just like Samia said, the word is connected to Salat.
Salluuh=sad-lam-lam-waw=comes from the root Sala=sad-lam-ya=to warm at the fire, endure the heat of the fire, put a thing near or upon the fire, roast.
Thumma=then
Aljaheema=he receded, or drew back/The main part of the war or battle or the straitness thereof and the vehemence of thefighlt or slaughter, in the scene therof/the greedy;who stops giving anything to others /to become narrow; narrow mindedness; who remaind narrow minded
a conjested house /Fire/ hot coals/ to roast
Jaham-al-baeer a mouth guard of camels to stop them hurt anyone /dogs getting a mouth guard so that they dont bark.
TajaHam= side effects of being 'mean' and greedy
AjHam Anhu = he stopped doing that
AljaHamu = The one who stops giving anything to othersAlJaheem=barriere against progress/moving forward/proceeding in the desired action
salluuh=you cast him (into the fire)
AlJaheem is explained also by verse 6930 where the shackles refers to that the person cannot progress any further
6930 Take him and shackle him!
Thumma aljaheema salloohu

Thank you so much to Sister Samia and Bro Arnold for their prompt response to my request for help Re6931 . I was aware that Sallu with the Root Sad Lam Wau but could not find it in Lane , as I did not think of looking at Sad
Lam Ya . What threw me off in the first , was the Translated Meaning ....as by now I am familiar wit all the known meanings of this word.My own understanding of this verse is that ,' Allah is committed to send certain people to Hell ' so I was looking for the usual meaning of Salluhu as per The Root . Now it's all clear , once again thank you
