In surra 17:1 is it Realy Muhammad Why can't it be Moses?

Salaam,
The whole surra is about Bani Isreal so how are we to say the first "1" ayat only is about Muhammad and not Moses.Even the second ayat is a continuation of the first and Moses is mentioned in the second ayat by name , unlike Muhammad who isn't mentioned at all.If any one has an answer or two, Salaam.

Salaam.
Verses 44/23-24, 26/52 and 20/77 clarify that it was Musa, not Muhammad.

GOT IT!!!
Exalted (is) | the Being | (who) took/caused-to-tread | His Servant | by night (of ignorance?) | from | Institution of Submitting-to/Obeying The Restriction | towards | The Institution of The Most-Firm/Concrete Submission | that | We have blessed | surroundings/state of which | to show him | from | Our signs | Indeed | He is | The Hearer | The Knower
And what is the result of this state of mind called al Masjid il Aqsaa?
And | We bestowed upon | Moses | The Law | and We Turned it into | guidance | for Children of | he-who-journeyed-to-El | that you take not | from | other than Me | a disposer

A spinoff question, not sure how relevant though
So in many ways, al Masjid il Aqsaa is "closest to" what has been called Ufuq il Mubeen correct? Since in taakwir, that is what Muhammad is supposed to have been where he "saw" (human intellect/understanding-of-the-universe)? As such there is also a parallel between Abraham, Jacob-EL/Esra-El, Moses and then Muhammad. -

It is very clear and we wil discuss it; But it astonishing to read the comments of the Mods of this site, It makes me feel that there is something realy fishy going around.
In these ayats Allah is talking with Muhammad and telling him about Moses and bani Israel up to some Ayats but then again orders are for Muhammad and his people
Most glorified is the One who summoned His servant (Muhammad) during the night, from the Sacred Masjid (of Mecca) to the farthest place of prostration, whose surroundings we have blessed, in order to show him some of our signs. He is the Hearer, the Seer.
Similarly, we gave Moses the scripture, and rendered it a beacon for the Children of Israel that "You shall not set up any idol as a lord and master beside Me."
1776] They almost banished you from the land to get rid of you, so they could revert as soon as you left.
This has been consistently the case with all the messengers that we sent before you, and you will find that our system never changes.
Here it is Muhammad definitly the who is being addressed. You shall observe the Contact Prayer (Salat) when the sun declines from its highest point at noon, as it moves towards sunset. You shall also observe (the recitation of) the Quran at dawn. (Reciting) the Quran at dawn is witnessed.
then again
During the night, you shall meditate for extra credit, that your Lord may raise you to an honorable rank.
And say, "My Lord, admit me an honorable admittance, and let me depart an honorable departure, and grant me from You a powerful support."
Proclaim, "The truth has prevailed, and falsehood has vanished; falsehood will inevitably vanish."
Allah Ho Akbar

And it is your Lord that knows best all beings that are in the heavens and on earth We did bestow on some prophets more gifts than on others ........
1788 Say, "If all the humans and all the jinns banded together in order to produce a Quran like this, they could never produce anything like it, no matter how much assistance they lent one another."
1789 We have cited for the people in this Quran all kinds of examples, but most people insist upon disbelieving
The person addressed here cannot be Moses, these and many Ayats are regarding Muhammad and his men.
These self proclaimed scholars who are even afraid to use their real names are misguiding You.
Call upon Allah or call upon Rahman by whatever name you call upon Him for to Him belong the most beautiful names. Neither speak your prayer aloud nor speak it in a low tone but seek a middle course between.?
The agenda for these tucson mosque goers seems to be "degrade Muhammad at any cost".
But this will not happen friends, this has been tried from last 1400 years by different tactics but of no use.
Most of the users here are young and innocent who fall for the trap, Quran alone, YES Quran alone but then listen, read and ponder on what Quran tells us and do not try to mold it according to your own will. -

Hi Raj-ah,
i have always thought that "Wa" means "and" , but may be you can point to places in the quran where it has been used as "simerlarly"
as you are showing us.
Thanks.
