Some thoughts needed on ghosts/spirits situation

most things are best kept in secret - something like 'need to know basis'. come to think of it, that's how Allah is treating us, is it not? He mentions about 'al-ghayb' in verse 23, but how much do we know about 'the hidden / the unseen / the secret'? need to know basis is the operative word here, we thought.
so, in wakas' case, when he has to know, He will insha-Allah reveal it to him. otherwise, when he doesn't need to know, He will not reveal anything to him. even when says he has seen or heard or felt anything or something, how do we know that he was telling the 'real truth', when in actual fact was whatever he related to us was just an account (subject to his understanding + whatever limitations he has for language, etc.) of his experience? that will only be his 'perceived truth'. if the general public can adopt such an attitude, then perhaps wakas can consider relating it to us. otherwise, better don't.
anyway, it is just a suggestion. it can always be disregarded. we live in a free world. ;D

joeJoe, nice advice though I think I'd be curious to know what he has discovered if anything, why keep it a secret / well off course if he chooses to that's totally fine but it would be interesting to know no doubt

We cannot contact beings in the Qunatum Field, some people can access certain people's frequencies, their information, in the Field, you cannot access conciousness of people, only the information stored in their memory frequencies. But it seems you cannot train this, people are born with this sensetivity to access the Field beyond your own frequency. Most children are more open till their 8th year. The Quran itself says that human-conciousness is de-activated at death, and only re-activated again in the Next Life. Jinn in itself does not refer to seperate beings, it is not a title, it is a descriptive term for several things as emotions, kings, nomads.
When people experience 'ghosts' or 'spirits', it is mostly their own mind fooling them by projecting the source of fear outside of them. Sometimes people pick old resonants of vibritations in the Field, and the mind picks it up and thinks it is seeing and experiencing a conciousness being. For example, there was a man in Engeland who kept seeing monks walking through his house, it turned out his house stood where an old monastery used to be. So he saw the resonants of the monks in the Field. Another person felt an angry being bothering her in her house, turned out a violent man used to live there. She picked up the resonants of his emotions and her own brain presented it as a real being in the house.

wow, i heard a simmilar story. a woman believed she was a nostradamus or someone famous in the past life and she said she had memories of her "past life". but i guess she was just picking up frequencies of him.
although some people claimed that these "ghosts" can move objects or talk to them, i wonder what goes on there.

Yes, there have been reports on children in South-America who spoke Japanese fluently without ever learning it. They picked it up out of the Field. Almost matrix-style. Also many reports on children who could remember everything from a 'past life', the information she gave turned out to be a ancestor of her in Germany, probably the family genes opened up something for her to access the resonants in the Field.
As for the objects, i remember one research on the Discovery Channel where in 80% of all 'Poltergeist' hauntings, a young adolesence was present in the household, also many people possessed were youngsters between the age 10-16. Maybe in that age, the forming of the ego and the strain due to hormones affect the Field around them, they are more open to picking up energies, good or bad. But this is just a small idea of mine.
The main idea is that people experience resonant-residues of previous people, these frequencies are the same as our own memory frequency, and thus you brain picks it up as a being, it 'recoginzes' the information as coming from a being. If it was a violent and angry person, this can result in your sub-conciousness acting out the aggression by moving objects using the Field.
Mediums also 'talk' to the frequencies and their minds make it look like a conversation, but in reality they are picking up information about the persons thoughts and feelings and translate it into a conversation. Just like you base your conversations on your own thoughts and feelings at the moment.
The Field is so logical and explains so many things, and it has been proven in labs, it is not just a theory. But we are just at the brink of understanding it all.

Update I never went.
The timing was bad. It was difficult to arrange a date to stay over initially then my bro went away on holiday.
The activity at the house has reduced apparently. She is still looking for alternative accommodation however.
If she still has it when my bro returns, I will try and arrange it again.

I study Quantum Physics sometimes because it is an interest of mine. Arnold described this quite well, in my opinion.
In addition to what Arnold posted, I have often wondered if people who have not mastered control of their emotions are more prone to experiencing this kind of phenomenon.
Maybe its not that someone is really able to tap into some special ability that they haven't mastered control over. Maybe it's evidence that the person experiencing this is unable to control their own emotions. Maybe people who experience this are more emotional than the ones who don't experience paranormal activity. Something to think about.I honestly don't know. I don't think any of us can definitely say that it is one thing or another at this point. I think it's only something we can share our thoughts on.

Arnold, your thoughts are very compelling. Some things do not add up. For instance, there was this woman in my home town that kept having her child snatched on birth (literally would be born and it would be taken away from her, never to be seen again). How would you explain that? My whole family are witnesses to this, save me (as always, sigh).

Really? How and by what? Did it fly away through the air? Blinked out? Sorry, but I have heard so many stories and everyone has 'witnessed it'. People are really inclined in having supernatural stories. Please give more details about it.

This woman is still alive. Not just that, but she knows some sort of divination - my brother and sister looked into her mirror (at her request), and saw a room full of people.
I think all of this stuff is a load of horsecrap but until I witness it, I'm not saying anything.

This time on holidays I heard the full story of something I knew only in bits and pieces before. It is a very odd tale.
Around 15 years back, my younger bro and his friend, let's call him G used to hang out a lot. G also had an older brother A who was also involved in this story. G & A had a really old house (in Karachi, I won't disclose the location or anything) built by someone who had made a weird escape tunnel/panic room through it. One entry/exit point of this tunnel started from the first floor all the way around the house to outside the house where it led to a "hidden" exit/entry. Now comes the strange bit...they had tried to map it earlier and discovered that one part of the tunnel was walled up. From both sides. This left a largish area of the tunnel blocked from either side. The parents had told them to leave the tunnel alone but teenage boys never listen do they. The boys obviously thought of treasure being somehow locked up in the "room" and decided to break through it. At night of course, when their parents were asleep.
There is another addition to this, before I go on. The street in front of the house had lots of huge old trees lining it. Previously my bro and G were playing cricket out on the street when they decided to take a break. They leaned against the tree and G said that their mum told them not to go near these trees because once someone in the neighbourhood tried to cut down one to make way for something or the other and there was a huge drama, blood red pus like liquid started coming out of the tree and they all freaked out and left the damn trees alone. Anyways, my bro and G were real bastards in the making (and have always been very skeptical of paranormal stuff) and so my bro lights up and then kicks the tree and tries to put out the ciggie on the tree when the weirdest thing happens...they hear a thud. Both of the turn around and look down and a black bird has dropped down from the tree, dead. It's eyes were open but it just wasn't breathing. Whilst they were digesting this, more thuds from around a group of 4-5 trees and all in all, they counted 20ish dead birds. They just went inside quickly and thought it very creepy is all.
Alright going back to the tunnel, the side of the walled up tunnel that they could access from inside the house had a very light door to it and had an arch on top and wasn't normal sized, in fact you had to stoop to get through the whole tunnel or crawl. So when you would get to the area that was blocked off, they had books lying there (which were always lying there their parents said when they bought the house, they also told them not to ever touch them). These were around 15-18 journal sized books, bound in heavy cloth and had unlined pages in which someone had scrawled weird runic characters and symbols in black ink. My bro says that he has seen so many languages and even went searching for all manners of scripts later but never found the script used in those books. They were quite old and touching them caused some of the pages to crackle and fall off.
Anyhow...so their plan was set for the night since my bro would stay over and then when their parents turned in for the night, they'd crawl through with a hammer, chisel and a heavy cloth to muffle the noise and break on through to the other side. One hitch, they discovered there was no torch in the house that worked and since the tunnel didn't have any light, they opted for many candles along the length of the tunnel till the blockage. Since we have lots of power cuts in Karachi, back in those pre-ups/generator days, everyone had lots of candles stocked in their homes. Okay, moving along, G & A decided to go through the tunnel and asked my bro to stand guard outside...since if the parents did catch them, my bro wouldn't be responsible as such. So they go in and my bro is watching their progress from outside the tunnel till there was a bend and he couldn't see them anymore. Then they reach the blocked wall and start chipping lightly and ask him if the noise levels are good, my bro agrees on it being minimal and some minutes pass...during this time he notices that even though the balcony is open and there is no wind, the trees outside seem to be swaying pretty strongly.
After he hears a louder thump from inside the tunnel, the trees are swaying even more wildly as if there's a gale or something and then he notices that the door slams shut. By itself. He's been standing just next to it all this time and it hadn't moved and he hadn't moved. Then came scampering with yelling and howling from inside the tunnel and they started banging at the door without caring whether the parents woke up. So, there's no lock on the door and it's made of very light wood but no one can open it, my brother tried with all his strength to pull, the other two leaning against it with all their weight to push and nothing was happening. By this time, my bro's hands were getting red and welted so he decided to find a stick to put under the handle and then pull again. He tells them, they sit back to wait urging him to hurry and as soon as he turns to go look for something, the door swings open. The two inside rush to come out and ask him how he managed to get it open, my bro replies he didn't do anything, did they push it open? They say no, they were waiting...while they are figuring how it opened, the door slams shut again. No one moves to touch it at this point.
Apparently, what had happened was that when A broke through a bricked area, they both started feeling cold and even though he tried to see into the hole, he couldn't see anything except dark. Then the door slammed shut. And then the strangest thing, the candles didn't go out immediately... they went out in 2-3 sec intervals starting from their side! So they both panicked and came scrambling down the tunnel and the rest is above. The afterword to this is that come morning and emboldened by the risen sun and the fact that their parents didn't find out, they try to open the door to pick up where they left off and the door refused to budge. They even had packs of their friends from school come in with ropes and try to get that door open but it just wouldn't. During this session, a friend of theirs pointed out that there's no movement anywhere when people are trying to pull/push it. Normally a door would show some vibration or move a bit but this didn't at all.
Anyhow, they eventually sold their house. We met G this year and asked about the door. And it never did open again after that day, he has no idea if it did for the new owners.

I've dropped the guys off to the house multiple times, seen the trees and all but haven't gone in. Seriously, I try to stay well away from this sorta stuff in RL (even though I'm very interested in it theoretically so to say) why invite trouble if it exists and all that. I have often wondered what exactly was in the tunnel...maybe it does this with every new owner, or just kids it doesn't like ;D
