An example is female genital mutulation which found a hadith to support it!

And lets not forget the male kind.

I know this is off topic but unlike the female one male circumcision is good for health right?

Hmm I've read some studies (by chance not from Islamic sources) that show lower susceptibility to STD's such as AIDs, but I'm not sure how far this actually holds...

          peace brothers

          about circumsicion

its all a myth,it doesnt do any good, they say something about hygiene, but come on wash yourself and u wont have any problems, also it feels not so good during sex,so for me it is a curse for the jews and those who follow ahadith because they denied the message of quran, but it can be reversed by stretching it.

islam mixed with culture is not pure islam.ahadith were created that way, mixing it with culture.

          peace

Does the Quran not already give prevention by having only sex in marriage? Would this temporarely protection against really be enough argument for the case? God has made us perfect.

So the conclusion is the suffering I had when I was a little kid from circumcision was in vain? Oh man it makes me sick to the stomach thinking that that unbearable pain was for nothing. I had my penis cut when I was 10 years old so I was already kind of big. If only it happened to me when at least I was still a little baby >(.

God doesn't use evil to 'show things' to people, mankind has pure free will. He gives His Advice and Guidance, and we can accept or reject voluntarely. We will learn eventually that mankind needs His Guidance. But all the wrong things man does in the mean time, he does by its own choice.

The only thing jankren can do is not to do it with his own children.

Tasreef understanding of these verses, see OurBeacon Forum for further explanation

478 Wherever you may be, death will find you, even if you live in fortified castles. When something good happens to them, they say, ?It is from God.? And when affliction befalls them they say to each other, ?This is from you O fellow-man!? Tell them, ?All things happen according to God?s Laws.? What is amiss with these people, they understand not a thing?

479 God never creates evil. Things and events have good and evil aspects. When you act according to the Law of God the results are pleasant, and when you act against the Law the results are unpleasant (4230) So whatever good happens to you is from God, and whatever evil happens to you is from yourself. We have sent you as a Messenger to mankind and God is Sufficient as Witness.

With the Glorious Name of Allah, the Instant and Sustaining Source of all Mercy and Kindness
1131 Say, "I seek refuge with the Lord of the Rising Dawn.
1132 From the evil aspects of created things.
1133 And from the evils of the darkness of Ignorance whenever and wherever it is encountered.
1134 And from the covert activities of people who try to put knots and complicate the simple.
1135 And from the evil of the envious when he envies (and tries to harm)"

A knife in a surgeon's hand is a lifesaver, in a murderer's hand it is a tool of evil. It is not God who creates evil to teach us things, it is we who create the evil and when we learn this, when we accept his, mankind will leanr not to do this anymore.

Cultures give birth to Religions. That's why there are so many sects of Islam and Christianity and everyother religion. Because people tweak it to fit their own way of life.
The message of the quran doesn't have to do with culture, though.

                      Salam,

It does. Interestingly, in regard to the issue of ethnicity, the quran verse 4912 is placed right before verse 4913.

"O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, for some suspicions are a sin. Do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, you would abhor it, . And fear God. Indeed, God is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful." Qur'an,

49 12 O mankind! Behold, We have created you all out of a male and a female, and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of Him. Behold, God is all-knowing, all-aware.

It acknowledges cultures with this verse, but the Quran itself is cultereless, its Message. Only the language is based on culture.
