The original post I was typing up questioned the punishment (if any) for Apostasy in God's true religion. At first I was thinking the Quran allowed freedom of religion yet in other verses told submitters to kill whoever "turns back from the religion."

However it seems that it was just a matter of mistranslation, and the only time submitters are allowed to kill apostates is when they try to kill them (you).

So, I hope this is the case. If anyone would like to confirm this that would be great. I knew true Islam was a religion of peace. ;D

Everyone is free to adopt and change the religion. But no one is allowed to harm Islam after changing the religion as Richard Kalif alias Rashid Khalifa did . He pulled out two verses of the Quran and blamed Allah that He creates Temporary gods.

As far as The Qur'an is concerned , people are free to believe and dis-believe as often as they like , the only consequence of their action in becoming apostate is that god will not forgive them .

" Surely (as for) those who believe then disbelieve, again believe and again disbelieve, then increase in disbelief, Allah will not forgive them nor guide them in the (right) path " ( 4137 ) .

From this verse , there is nothing that says that 'apostate' should be killed and in Islam there is no compulsion to be a believer or a kafeer , as we can see in the following verse .

" There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing " ( 2256 ) .

I hope this helps . By the way , I was declared apostate in 1994 and threaten to be killed , I managed it ok with God's help .

        Peace

In my opinion if your morally sound, then i think you are a believer if not then you are at least a submitter/muslim hence you are practicing islam. To turn away from islam= to lose moral character. This is wrong and obviously unforgivable unless they regain their moral for good.

If in your heart and mind something in the Quran dosn't make sense, then 99.99999999% if not 100% you have misunderstood the verse of the Quran or have missed some part of the Quran.

This is just my opinion based on my experiences.

          Take it easy,
          peace

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Not at all. The two added verses are proven to be other from god because

              1. They glorified the prophet (gave him one of God's name, the "merciful&quot while God mentions several times Muhammad is a simple human being like us.

              2. Did not make the total verses of the Quran be a sum of 19, which, despite people who've yet to grasp the magnitude of this issue, confirms it's inauthenticity.

              3. God did not say it was by his name in the beginning of the chapter, knowing it was going to be tampered with. He then said "bismillah" in a later surah twice only to have the total number of "bismillah's" in the Quran a multiple of 19. Just a while ago I had someone say that this was a man's idea. Who the hell would do this back in 600-700 AD?

And I always have the links if you need them. If the 19 issue doesn't convince, the fact they glorify the prophet should be enough. After all, it's glorifying the prophet that corrupted islam from the beginning.

                Dear Brother
Richard Kalif alias RK was an established Cheat and Liar who
                -Insulted Allah by blaming Him
-Insulted the Quran by blaming it.
Quran says ,even if the Munaafiqs speak the truth ,do not believe them.
How can I believe RK and his followers who are Code worshippers.
                Regards

No one is a "code worshipper" and I am sick of this insult being thrown left and right. Just because someone believes that the number does something doesn't mean they are looking forward to seeing a big "19" on judgement day to intercede on their behalf and make them enter a paradise with 19 virgins in it. )

The number does a crap load of things you probably never thought was possible and there is more too it than we think. It is also not easy for a number to be a multiple of 19 like 2, 5, or 3 is. I find it funny that anyone would think everything dealing with the number are mere coincidences that prove nothing just because it doesn't work with the false equations they concocted in their minds. They've still have yet to realize that a number will work with only specific equations and the #19 happens to work with the equations that clear the Quran of distortions.

And you can provide me proof that RK was a liar by the name of Richard.

I'm surprised Free Minds has yet to have an official "I Hate RK" or "RK is Gay and a Loser" thread/forum.
