Ramadan - heat and the procession of the equinox; how it relates to dates.
-
Peace,
I have put up the dates of the first full moon following the summer solstice in another thread. It so happens to fall on the evening of the 11th July this year.
The equinox - the date on which the day and night is 12 hours each, everywhere on the earth processes due to the Earth's "wobble". It does this at the rate of 1 day backwards every 71 years. The same is true for the solstices which also occur sooner by the same rate. The whole precession through one year takes approximately 26 000 years to complete.
If ~1425 years have gone by since the reading was revealed; that would equal... 1425 / 71 = 20 days - in which case we know the summer solstice back then occurred on roughly 12th July (of the tropical year) which would have meant that 'ramadan' started towards the end of July or early August. So the seasons and their place in the tropical year change slowly with time.
Regards.

Truth, your post makes sense, but i do have to ask you how did you calculate this? I mean does fasting happens EVERY year on the SAME day?
I just wanna be more informed, that's all.
Thanks.Salaam.

Peace Truth..
Are you talking about the Milankovich Cycle??
Is it it accepted by the Scientific World?
What I have understood is that the Cycle deals with the Precession of the equinoxes and solstices which completes cycles in 25900 years or so( From My Memory Need not be accurate)But My Question is Whether the Solstices themself Shift over the Centuries??
When I calculated using the Current Values for Tropical year 365.24219 I see that the Summer Solstice occur in June 21,22,23 during all these years... I mean during The CE 560 to CE 650 periods.. It does not vary Much..And Since when are we knowing that there are Solstices and Seasons correspond to them etc..? If we were knowing it from Since 2000 years Then the probability that there occurs a seasonal shift due to the Milankovich cycle may be incorrect...
Can i have your email id to correspond with you please Truth?
