Isnt life more than food or clothing? Arnt you worth more than birds? Can worry make you live longer? And dont you know that the food you put into your mouth goes into your stomach and then out your body? Why are you talking about not having any bread? Dont you understand? Have you forgotten about the five thousand people and all those baskets of leaftovers from just five loaves of bread? And what about the the four baskets of leaftovers from just seven loaves of bread? And are you able to drink from the cup that I must soon drink from?
The Scrpiture say " No one can only live on food. People need every word that God has spoken." John the Baptise did not go around eating and drinking, and you said " That man has a demone in him!" The people of Noah didnt know what was happening untill the flood came and swept them all away; while they were eating, drinking,and getting married. The birds in the sky dont plant or harvest. They dont evin store grain in barns. Yet your Lord takes care of them. Wild flowers dont even work hard to make their cloths. But Solomon with all his wealth wasnt as well clothed as one of them. Only people who dont know God are always worrying about such things like having something to eat,drink, or wear. And the food that you put in your mouth doesnt make you unfit to worship God. The bad words that come out your mouth is what makes you unfit to worship God. Eating without washing your hands will not make you unfit to worship God. And it isnt right to take food away from children and feed it to dogs.Look at the birds in the sky! Look how the wild flowers grow. More than anything else, put Gods work first and do what He wants. The the other things will be yours as well. And go and learn what the Scripture mean when they say " Instead of offering sacrifises to me, I want you to be merciful to others."
Why worry about cloths? And who are faithful and wise servants? Who are the ones the Master can put in charge of giving the other servants their food supply at the proper time?
If you dont gather in the harvest wit me, you scatter it.
When you give a dinner or a banquet, dont invite your friends and family, and relatives and rich neigbors. If you do, they will invite you in return, and you will be paid back. When you give a feast, invite the poor, the cripple, the lame, and the blind. They cannot pay you back. But God will bless you and reward you when His people rise from death. When you go withour eating, dont try to look gloomy as those show-offs. Instead, comb your hair and wash your face. Then others wont know you fasting.
Dont worry about not having something to eat, drink, or wear. Dont worry and ask yourselves" Will we have something to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any cloths to wear? " Dont worry about tommorow. Tommorow will take care of itself. I tell you not to worry about your life.
God will surly do even more for you than what He does for the birds. And anyone who gives one of my most humble followers a cup of cool water, just because that person is my follower, will surely be rewarded. jedi
