Was at the supermarket the other day, doing my mundane weekly shopping. There was a Hindu checkout girl scanning my products, amongst which was minced meat (beef). It was bleeding from the plastic wrappers, I guess from a rip or leak. She had to touch it, wipe the bloody plastic cleanly for it to be able to scan. I felt really sorry for her, I realized her religious sensitivity since she was Hindu. My question was, what if this situation happened to be with a Muslim girl, the customer bought pork, should she refrain from touching the bloody product or can this be an exception and she should continue to work???? What of chefs, or chefs in training, I'm sure their will be a point where they would have to deal with pork, especially for restaurants in the west. Can they learn to cook it, deal with the animal as part of their job?? Thoughts??

2173, 53, 6145, 16115, fobidden to you.. the flesh of swine. What exceptions though, especially for the chef or supermarket checkout girl?

Yes, it's the meat or flesh of swine that is prohibit, though can it be questionable if gelatine is allowed to consume cause it made of bone.

          Peace

Peace Be Upon You Sis Maria

yea i was very young though, like 9 or 10. She just thought i naturally would know out of thin air lol. Same with doing salat. I didnt know what to say when we sit down until i got to college because they just forgot to teach me that part lol
which kind of worked out because they just told me oh say the shahada until we teach you and when i finally got around to learning it from a friend in college it didnt sit well with me so i just kept on with just saying shahada anyway P
