Brothers and sisters,
Please have a look at these verses...
2178
We have 2 persons, Dawood and Suleiman, therefore the pronoun should logically be HOUMAA(dual) and not HOUM(plural, more than 2)
4248
'Insaan' is singular when it affects 'fariha', but afterwards pronoun HOUM(plural) is used to replace it.
Anyone can shed some light here please.

First an happening has been mentioned the effect of which is similar for the entire humanity , good people and bad people alike feel pleasure on getting something good and of comfort. And then with reference to bad or discomfort the pronoun is used for a part of the humanity since the true believer's reaction is different-see what they say when adversity afflicts them.

People tend to give justifications for any grammatical "abnormality" in the qur'aan and are never short of any.
The point is we subject the qur'aan to grammatical rules that have been set long after the revalation, when we should be doing the opposite.
The qur'aan was not revealed in classical Arabic nor in any only-written kind of Arabic. It's revealed in a spoken dialect of Arabic and hence the non conformity to these grammatical rules.
