totally off-topic but i thought i'd share my traumatic experience
i was watching "the inside story of COPS" and they had like the weirdest clips that came out of that show. Anyways there was this one call that came in and the police arrived. They found this guy stabbed in the hand and bleeding. They asked what happened and he said his mother stabbed him for violating a restaining order and coming near his wife.
The police felt like there was more to the story it didn't really make sense for the guy's mom to stab her own son for trying to see his wife. It turns out the reason why they were separated was because the guy's mom was having a sexual relationship with his wife! so he flipped out on the wife and the wife filed a restraining order. and then he came in and found them getting busy again so his mother stabbed him.
now tell me that isn't traumatizing i wish i never watched that show i'm all messed up now (

No, just the incestuous nutter Freud. He's a fine example of what bad brain chemistry can do to a soul.

Peace all
in Morocco marriage between cousins is very, very, very common. It was a shock to me when i first came here, as to my knowledge it was forbidden in Germany. In the mean time i got used to it though.
Marriage between first degree cousins has been forbidden during the reign of the nazis. This law has been abrogated only in 1996 at the same time as a rule stating that a woman was not allowed to remarry before 10 month after the pronunciation of divorce...reminds me of something as well hmm
Another point Other studies exist insisting on the greater occurence of genetic diseases in case of repeated cousin marriages. As usual, you can find studies comforting your point of view, whatever that is...

peace all,
somehow I never fancied the idea of cousin marriages....in my family we treat our cousins like our own sisters/brothers.....there has never been any affair or any scandal amongst my first cousins and hopefully neither will there be any in our next generation because there is no such example for them to follow.
There are many families in Pakistan who do not marry their children outside the family, that is there right and I/We have no objections to that.

It's not a good idea, I'd say. Unless there is an exclusive reason, it is not good to choose a closely genetically related partner.

Well, I guess if you manage to survive inbreeding over so many generations, you'll turn asexual. Imagine a human giving birth to their clone.
