When was the conference broadcast? I assume I missed it. No re-runs? ;D
The conference was held this weekend. There were initially some problems getting the right streaming information out to everyone as it was our first attempt at streaming. In the end we did get some people viewing it. We didn't record it on ustream while streaming, but we did record the conference. We have somebody editing the raw footage & we will upload it as soon as it is ready. I will keep everyone posted as to where it can be viewed. If anyone is interested in the topics that were presented, they can pm me & I will send them text copies of what was presented as soon as I have finished compiling them in the next week or two.

We have decided to make our Al Burhaan Quran Study broadcast a regular
1 hour show on ustrean.tv every Wednesday evening from 2030 to 2130
South African time (GMT + 2 hours).Please watch tonight and see if you find it interesting. If so, join
us every Wednesday from 2030 to 2130. Your input will be invaluable
in moving this initiative forward to a broader range of Quranic
programming from all around South Africa and internationally. This
medium can be used for broadcasting programs in different time slots
throughout the week & once we get all our technical aspects in order,
I think it can be utilised to have our own Quran Conference Television
online. This could be a good bridging gap until we manage to put a
radio or tv station together that would be available to a wider
audience.FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO WATCH THE BROADCAST, HERE ARE

Are you based in South Africa? If so, we should get in touch as we are arranging a second Quran conference in Johannesburg in March 2010 and we would like to get in touch with as many people in South Africa as possible who are interested in promoting the message of the Quran.
Also, if you can arrange airtime on Radio Islam we would gladly put together a regular show.

Thanks for the response, but I'm afraid that Radio Islam is unlikely to promote any of our lectures as most of them are in direct contrast with the oppressive form of Islam that they promote.
I'll give it a try though, as they may be obliged to make airtime available, being a community radio station. I won't hold my breath though. I'm too young to wish for death.

Due to some of our members being away over the December period, there will be a change of topic for the next few weeks. Rather than our current topic of the concept of Aadam in the Quran, we will be having a more open-ended discussion. The topics dealt with tonight will be certain portions of the story of Noah in the quran as well as some discussion on the concepts of salawat & salat in the quran. The emphasis on the second topic will be on salawat as we have covered the salat issue in some detail not too long ago.
