Some thoughts on creation and the Ancient Astronaut Theory

I don't know if people are aware of the Ancient Astronaut Theory which claims that humans on earth have become what they are due to influences from extraterrestrial visitors. That genetic modification was performed in order to make humans what they are. I have known about this since the 1970's and always thought of it as simply a speculation, and because of my knowledge of the Creator it seemed far fetched.

But then I got to thinking about it and whether such a theory really conflicts with the concept of a Creator or not and I think it can still be true and consistent with the existence of the God the Ultimate Creator. Here are some of my reasons for this

If humans were technologically advanced enough to create a genetically modified creature which flourished here and humanity perished in some catastrophe then who is the creator of that remaining (possibly intelligent) lifeform? Us humans or our Creator? Just because we were intermediaries or instruments of that creatures existence does not mean we are its ultimate creator. So if human evolution was influenced or guided by extraterrestrials then that does not mean that the God doesn't exist.
Even credible scientists concede that ET's might exist and given the billions of years since the beginning of the universe the Earth may have had visits potentially hundreds of times in its history.
Think about the explosive growth in science and technology in the past 50-100 years. Are we so arrogant as to think that another race or creation might not be hundreds if not thousands or dare I say it millions of years ahead of us?

I think the AAT is interesting, plausible even. It may shock or even upset anthropocentric / earth centric people but it shouldn't disturb the enlightened.

I doubt this astronaut theory, but I have no problems with ETs. Come on, we're one planet out of a zillion and we've been around for what, 2 million years at most?

Although I like the discussion between Samia and Tanveer, I would like to get this thread back on topic. Maybe Samia and Tanveer can start another thread with their topic and I might join in with my two cents.

To respond to you truth, I agree with you, if archeological evidence has any truth to it worth accepting. Have you read any of the books of Zecharia Sitchin? I am almost sure you have since you have been aware of this since the 70's, but I just wanted to put his name out there for anyone that wasn't aware of him.

I haven't completed my research on it, but taking his reseach and those like it, and using the criterion of Al Quran to filter it, one can come to the conclusion that the nefilium and ananuki of his works are none other than Jinn mentioned in Al Quran. Many ayaat can be interpreted to support some of the claims that he makes. Of course archeology is never 100% correct, because they just have bits and pieces and try to fill in the blanks with logic and assumptions. But when you view all of that information from the criteria of Al Quran, a lot of it makes more sense with Quranic clarification.

I have thought about writing about it on here for those who think that Jinn and Angels are only hidden forces of human nature, something that I think is absurd and proven erroneous by the overwhelming evidence given in Al Quran. Maybe I will get around to it in the near future, unless someone comes and does it before hand; if it hasn't already been done on here. Until then...

I share some of your thoughts but do not feel comfortable discussing something based on conjecture rather than solid evidence. Having said that, another possibility is that the ananuki or the "aliens" could be an advanced human race. Humans have been around for 300,000 + years and it is inconceivable that they have never made huge technological advancements in the past including interstellar travel and extraterrestrial colonization followed by periods of complete destruction on Earth.

I am quite familiar with Sitchin's and similar other works. I have been very interested in UFO's and other paranormal phenomenon. X-files, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek have been my favorite shows. I think that there are two possibilities either Jinns are behind all this or a surviving advanced human race that is hiding underwater somewhere or in the Tibetan mountains or on other planets.

I share many of your same concepts and possibilities of understandings here. I too am a sci-fi fan because I don't believe that many of the people who create them are coming up with stuff from scratch. I believe they are building their stories around archeological evidence found, if not actually experiences by some. They just like to present it as science fiction. The imagination is very powerful, but it still has to have some reference from which to work.

I will check out some of the other links you provided soon hopefully. Maybe we can get some more posts on this topic as we move along hopefully. I am also trying to get to some of your other posts on the other threads, but I have been busy with a couple of other threads as well.
