An Invitation from a Muslim Cleric to You

ps; if saudi or some such similiar type country had the millitary power/influence of the US,how do you think they would conduct themseleves on the world stage in terms of oppression? Better or worse thasn the US?
Honestly?... better. I don't think anyone has done much worse than U.S. to date.Boost... any word on the date/time? Or should I be asking if it's still on, first.

If he is that generous then he would surely join us here.....
I agree.
Don't trust these mullah's and sheiks.
Ones i tried something like this - in a mosque , but right to the last minute the guys , three mullahs all from Medina university couldn't answer the questions and where gob smacked - and finally one of them the strongest held me from the collar of coat and threatened me but my friends intervened.
I wouldn't give a f... to these C... S......
They are all heathens.
Just you be careful you Guys and Gals.
I would never go for an open debate and wouldn't advice anybody neither.
God Bless.

peace all,
i dont think we should be calling people "heathens" no matter what they believe - everyone is on a journey searching for the truth - whether they are sunni or whatever - leave it between them and god....
its starting to bug me a little how judgemental people can be on here about other beliefs that arent yet as progressive or open or whatever... i think everyone should show more respect -
if i stumbled on this site now and went through the posts i dont think id come back - there is so much negativity about others....
and this site is meant to be open to all - as a sunni i would feel targeted here and so get defensive rather than opening up to new ideas and interpretations! we all need to chill a little!peace

Even if you or anybody else doesn't agree - sorry to say.

peace mz,
my comment was for everyone not only u - its just the way so many posts are going lately that are irritating me.... i dont think there is any need for all this negativity - and i dont think we should stoop to name calling like they do - when people resort to insults etc it is because they know they have no leg to stand on - let them kill their own arguments by showing themselves up in this way - if we stoop to their level then the whole discussion becomes juvenile and many valid points are lost because then we are both as bad as each other....
-
Maybe the cleric should be invited here, specifically to this thread. P
PEACE
Yeah!! That's what I've been saying early on this thread. How about one of the Mods here send an invite to this cleric, or any famous Cleric in fact, lets also have diversity.. Let them be Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahhabi.

Peace Be Upon You All
Bro Zenje
Boost... any word on the date/time? Or should I be asking if it's still on, first.
Bro Zenje, honestly I don't know anymore.... Like I was saying there were plenty of people who were really interested in learning more and to whoever asked me I referred them to this site for some more information. It would be a shame if they wandered into this thread because regardless of my own personal past experiences and the experiences of others on here as well, these specific people seemed open to listening and understanding. That's the problem with blind steretypes, you wind up fighting ghosts and it's unfair to the person in front of you. I doubt anyone would want to talk to us if they saw this mayhem. I'll get in contact with either my friend or wander into the paltalk room later on today to check up. Although, I have a strong feeling our latest member was probably from that paltalk room... -[

Bro MZ, I really hope you either change your deplorable attitude or just don't come in the paltalk room at all. You're obviously not very interested which is your decision, but how sick it is to use such profanity against someone you never met once in your life before. I'm already pretty embarrassed at how some of you have acted out on this thread. Insults and blanket racist statements just come out as if it's nothing. Pretty sad when it comes from a minority group.

Sorry to say bro mz, you never met the sheikh and you were never winning any battle and he never picked on you.
Bro Rumi
Yeah!! That's what I've been saying early on this thread. How about one of the Mods here send an invite to this cleric, or any famous Cleric in fact, lets also have diversity.. Let them be Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahhabi.
I doubt any sunni or shia cleric would waste his time posting in a hostile thread

I think some of us are completely able to be polite and respectful. If you're worried about me personally, I'll be on my best behavior talking to these guys. ;D
-
I'm not worried about you bro. I'm worried about people who think it's cool to call others heathen f... c... s...
Not to mention the sheikh is Arab and apparently that's the wrong color to be around here -
Peace Sis Boost,
I'd be interested in listening to the debate, but I wouldn't participate, as there are too many areas where I simply don't have adequate knowledge, such as Hajj, Ramadhan/calendar, and even Salat.
One area that I'd feel confident in debating would be that of Muslims using the Quran as the only source of divine Law.

Peace and Salam
Please Sis and Bro ' s
Lets stop being such bleeding hearts, many of the Sunni Scholars will tell you that not believing in the Hadith makes you an apostate and therefore your blood is Halal i.e. "kosher" to kill (excuse the Judaism).
We are extremely lucky they are not in power, look at the mayhem they are doing in Darfur for instance...
If you think about it wisely, you might conclude that so far as the Muslims are misled, other entities (such as "The Empire" will have the upper hand over them. It is in the interest of Empire that Muslims be never ever guided, and carry on following extras such as Hadith (after all this is what Empire is doing (via The Corporation - not even The Church anymore, so that this status quo is its realm, never believe in God but through association)...
I am not interested in debating with a Sunni or a Shia, they have nothing to give me, period... as none of those others destined to damnation...
And for those faulting it all on America and the West in general, what do you expect from them, at least they are consistent in their approach...
Our "own" , or shall we say -US- will never ever be helped by Allah as long as they do not abandon idol worship, which in my view started when they encountered the Persian Empire and that got them decimated by the Mongol invasion thereafter, which boasts having killed over one million muslims in one day, a record no nation has ever yet achieved, despite the ever improving sophistication of weaponry..
If this not Allah's wrath, I wonder what is... Allah speaks to us through events like these... -
Peace Be Upon You
Bro Enquirer, Saudi Arabia is actually a very peaceful country in respect to its neighbors. Even though they have a strong economy and apparently alot of power since U.S. bows down to it like a slave, they never once committed such atrocities as were listed in Bro Layth's previous post. Would you care to rephrase?
Are we now talking about Arab governments or is it still "hate all arabs" day?
Who said we hate Arabs, its just they are the most ignorant of Muslims yet act like they are the most religious. They are making all the problems for Muslims elsewhere. Look at them in Afghanistan. The Afghanis had to literally kick them out. They think they own Islam. All this wahhabism, Muslim brotherhood and stuff, its getting old. Maybe they should just shut up for a while, thats all we are saying. Just watch Al Jazeera, they are always talking as if the world cares about them. They thing the world conspires against them. Nobody is hating them, its just they need to let other Muslims to speak for islam. They entered Islam by the sword anyways.

Very good point, I will second that. Hadiths dominate Sunni dogma, its difficult for them to see it rejected and they might do anything. Good advice. handshake

As-Salaamu Alaikum all,
Those of you who don't think it is worth it, or think that sunnis, shias, non-muslims, others, etc. are not worth doing this propogation with, then just simply don't bother to join in the forum. Many forums and discussions are going on in the world that you are not a part of, and it is not hurting you or your time one bit. I can understand if a person has had a bad experience with something like this and don't want to participate in it again. It could be tramatising.
But there is also no need to discourage others to participate and do so. Everyone can learn something from someone. It is always better to talk and try to build bridges than just to tear things down. Part of the problem between the US and countries like Iran and Syria is the unwillingness of the US to talk to them formally; not that that alone would solve all of the problems.
Nevertheless, if no one ever shares, then no one will ever change. Just remember to be peaceful by letting those with the desire to do so, to go ahead and participate in the debate in what ever manner they choose that is peaceful, and those who think it is not worth it, just don't comment and don't participate. This creates more peace among all humans.

You can debate Muslims, no problem, but Sunni Muslims, those who identify with it stongly, then do so at your own peril. A cleric is Sunni by default, do so at your own peril. I am through with it, but I will debate Muslims. I do not consider Muslims who practice the 5 rituals as Sunnis, since I do not believe the 5 rituals came to us from hadith. If you will quote some hadiths, like Quran missing, the prophet ordering the drinking of camel urine, and Aisha being 6 when the prophet married her etc and the person defends those hadiths, then I suggest you think twice about continuing debating him. There are many Muslims who will tell you point blank these hadiths are probably fake, but a Sunni won't.
-
My point is that saudi arabia,if it was the dominant power in the world millitarily, would it really treat the world with humanity? The reason why saudi couldnt touch surrounding countries is because the US and UK have already shown what happens to countries thinking they can invade sovereign nations....The wahabbi machine in saudi is responsible for much hate, terrorism, propoganda and killing round the world.....IF people of this ilk had access to greater resources then this would only increase the oppression and killing....To me some of the iranian, saudi, sudanese and US decision makers are almost as bad as each other......In gods name they kill........
-
Whilst i understand how hard it is to discuss with a person who strongly follows the sunnah, have you thought how hard it is to discuss with someone strongly on the 'quran only' vein......? Dogma is dogma, whichever way you slice it or dress it up......
-
Yes mz,a dogma is not just for eid,its for life........!!!!!! D
Ah,the trap of brainwashing and religion......Only the few escape totally......
ps; is eid literal or metaphorical? voodoo ;D muscle handshake ! -
As-Salaamu Alaika Bigmo,

I understand your point. But we will still are at least debating with someone that is "trying" or "saying" that they believe in Allah and His word in Al Quran. Many of these people have not understood how they have been brainwashed to accept other than Allah's word over what Allah actually said. We never know who is gonna be touched by something to finally grasp the understanding of truth. Let's not treat some people like the blind man mentioned in Al Quran. Many criminals that never even believed in a god, are now muslims because someone took the time to try and teach them something of what Allah has said in Al Quran. I never concern myself with who accepts the message, but only with my desire to please Allah by giving the message again in the best way that I am capable of.
By the way, although I am not an ex-con, I used to be a "non-muslim", also a "sunni Imam", but yet I am here now thanks to the guidance of Allah. Alhamdulilaah.
As-Salaamu Alaikum, peace
