Yes, this incident was the reason for the FYI post.
Basically, another member from this forum who has reverted, had been seeking vengance for being misled away from Sunnism and had used the personal information of sister Boost (her real name as well as location) to inform a group of Sunnis - including their shiekh, that Boost had made her stray from Sunnism and had caused her to divorce her husband. Apparently the people who heard this became hostile and some of the Sunni community know Boost's family and she (as well as the mods) were concerned that this case of slander could have serious reprecussions on her safty.
Personal information for Boost (including her pic) have been removed at her request.
This is very traumatic and reveals what "religion" can do in the name of thy Lord. I wish I could help her out but do hope she is safe and protected. If I'm not intruding, wonder if I may ask what country she resides in which may have given rise to her situation, perhaps?I myself had exposed my picture, email, real name and address once before, and received several emails of curses, warnings and death threats. I replied to a few with anger and challenged them to confront me, but then I softened up and reciprocated in a peaceful and wise manner so as not to cause unecessary invitations. One never knows whom he/she is dealing with and it may be either a male or a female. It is better to remain submissive, righteous and calm as the Quran so eloquently reflects upon by the very signs that nature dictates.

Zein, O Zein my friend, it is my personal understanding that one must be tolerant, given enough leverage to criticize, speak up, question and rebut to any subject matter whatsoever as long as the individual is not offensive, deliberate, vulgur, threatening, cursing and the likes. I do oppose or perhaps misunderstood some of "enquirer's" thought processeses as understood by his posts (which needs clarification), much of what he speaks about seems quite relevant and begs to be addressed. Hope you will take note and bring him back; I've much to discuss with him and I'm sure others have too. PM me if you'd like. Thanks.

Anyway, I dont want to quickly pass judgment on the woman who caused all this trouble for Boost. We do not know maybe after divorcing her husband she was faced with great opposition by her family or something which forced her to blame her decision on someone else on the internet.

Good thought 'jankren'. It may also have been "Boost's" own faults for all you know. This is where I draw the line. -

He wasn't banned for being critical, speaking up, questioning, or rebutting. He was banned for violating the forum rules, again and again, despite warnings, despite a one-week ban, and despite a one-month ban. The mods were more than tolerant. I suggest browsing his posts and looking for the violations if you're not at peace with the situation.

It's the fault of the dude for what happened to him. LIke Boost led that dude out of the path? So what, it's hisher brain that is being used, he shouldn't call on other people. It's his fault if he paid heed to the people who "are not on the right path".

I suggest browsing his posts and looking for the violations if you're not at peace with the situation.
The link to access users posts doesn't work with people who left the forum or have been banned, so I can't know the reason of the ban.
I'll miss him, as I miss Lote Tree, and idolfree, although I think idolfree will come back.I suggest re-reading them

if you read enough of BOOST's posts you would see that it's very hard to believe that she would say something like that.
She may be having problems with her family/community anyway but this s***stirer has no right add more fuel to the fire.
Maybe you, Jankren and Genteel would probably do something like that under such circumstances but I find it difficult to believe that she would stoop that low.
