built on "blind faith"

salam.
With so much negative connotation that comes with "blind faith", my is a good one. ;D
WHen i was very young, I prayed to God often... i would say "Allah, please make teacher forget about the test..." "let me find my flute easily" and even made promises which i broke many times..geez, thinking back, i was actually using promises as bribery! I praised God and talked to Him almost evey night before i went to bed...
then i drifted away from remembering God..

Lol, all of a sudden I remember that when I was in the 4th grade my religion teacher assigned the whole class to memorize a certain long Arabic prayer (More like a mantra to me because I didnt understand Arabic ) in a week. However, since I was not a very good student I ignored the assignment until the last minute. And when I realized that I wouldnt be able to fulfill my assigment I began to tremble in fear knowing that my teacher would beat me with a big wooden ruler the next morning. So as the last resort I began to pray very earnestly to God to help me. And to be honest it was the first time in my life I ever prayed so earnestly. To my surprise in the next morning my religion teacher was absent due to sickness. And when he came back to school he somehow had forgotten about the assignment.
I dont know if it was a divine intervention or whatever but I think it is a very interesting story which I never forget.

Peace upon all,
This reminds me of many times that I have prayed to God for many things. I remember getting all the things I wanted as a kid. I now regret asking God for such worldly possessions, but it strengthens my iman (faith) and my love for Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala (Glorified and Exalted is He) when I look back.

God listens to prayers! D He gives what is best for us.
Once, I prayed for a save journey and also that God increase me in faith towards Him. ...and so I had several accidents on the road, also got lost a few times, but not a scratch on us! ...the kindness of others bestowed on us during the trip also made me know that Allah was and always will be there for me if i trust allah. you know, something happened that made me concluded that the journey was meant to be just the way it occured.. ;D
David prayed to God asking for great power. And God gave him the control over the wind and the Jinns. It certainly take a lot of trust to ask from God a huge gift...

Salam.
During the time when i was sleeping in the kitchen with mice and was a little scared that mice might lick my face during night, i would just say, i trust You, God, i believe in You, God and i rely on You, God.
I woke up every morning, safe and sound and everything is okay.
By the way, one mouse is dead, the other running around, somewhere else.
AlhamdilAllah, AlhamdilAllah.Peace.
