how many messengers are in the quran ?

Peace again "Nun de Plume",
Question then is who did this first miracle baby Adam mate with ? an ape called Eve?
Then their offspring will have 23 + 24 = 47 chromosomes not 46.
Or was Adam?s mate another miracle baby with chromosome #2 also fused?
Which then is true?
- 48 chromosome apes via DNA mutation gave birth to 46 chromosome humans who then populated the world.
OR
- 46 chromosome humans were created as such then populated the world.
JK- This shows ignorance of evolution. Favorable traits are passed on. The fusion occured due to a purpose and it was not necessarily just in one ape like creature but in many. Those when they mated then continued this trait. Also even if only one had fused and tht was favorable trait even if he mated with one tht hadnt yet a fused one the favorable trait cld still be passed on. Thats how natural selection works on the genetic level. GOD Bless!

Wrong, only some of these were Messengers, i.e. Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus (alaihum salaam), and of course, Muhammad (alaihi salatu wa salaam). The rest were ordinary Prophets.

SHAKIR O people! be careful of (your duty to) your Lord, Who created you from a single being and created its mate of the same (kind) and spread from these two, many men and women; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, by Whom you demand one of another (your rights), and (to) the ties of relationship; surely Allah ever watches over you.How do you read the above verse exactly; created Man and Woman and from those TWO the rest of humanity?
Or
Created some germ predecessor of ALL life and its mate; then from them TWO ALL creatures (which TWO?); germs, pre-Apes, Ape, post-Ape?
JK- Your obviously influenced too much by the Bible. There aint no Eve in the Quran. As i told you the chromosmes fused in the exact same positions on the genome where there were originally 48 in the apes. This has been shown through DNA sequecning. Furthermore i gave you evidence of endogenous retroviruses and even provided you with the link which you obviosuly didnt bother to read. GOD Bless!
YOU ARE obviously clueless about me and ASSUME too much.
Yes, Eve IS NOT in Qur?an ? how does that mean that I?m influenced by Bible?Retroviruses as all viruses are like ?keys? which fit particular ?locks? and it?s obvious that if we share similar code with apes a virus will infect similar species. There is similar code and much dissimilar code...

Take a closer look at chromosomes 1, 4, 9, Y, etc?also realize this is high-level as looking at apartment buildings and ASSUMING internal plumbing and furniture is same or that stuff like this is possible...

Once again you assume things about which neither you nor anyone including the people doing research knows little; which favorable traits ? the thousands of genetic disorders and retroviruses you mentioned?

Let's wait for further research before ASSUMING conclusions.

Could be either actually.
What's your view on the origin of life and man then? Aside from "God created us" which doesn't explain how?

Well origin of life definitely God created everything; As Qur'an says, look around you?
200 billion stars with 200 billion galaxies ? ?bang? all from nothing!
Then the countless billions of different species seen and ?unseen? with many dying out with nothing knew popping.
As far people go, I was installing a granite kitchen slap last month thinking how freaking heavy is this and realized how 10,000 years ago people were messing around with granite slaps the size of a small house?lol
Ever wonder why in last few thousand years? people went from cave drawings to space ships and discovering how to split genes while closest animals in intelligence are apes and pigs?
Then I?ve had dreams of future events which happened exactly dreamed ? kind of floating through space-time?lol

So yeah even though molecularly all living things are composed of water molecules and may share similar code; man is definitely different!

What I want to know is how you think life came about. It must obey the laws of physics, of course?
The question is HOW, not "WHO". "WHO" is assumed to be God.

We know the mechanics of how life reproduces?

As to HOW the original DNA code or ?blueprints? which is present in each one of our trillions of cells to make another one of us came about, we can only go so far and ultimately end up with ? ?Be? and it is!

The Poof, There It Is Theory is one of the most popular theories used to explain the creation of the universe. The theory is quite complex but it can be simplified to something like this
In the beginning, there was no universe, and then;
POOF!
There it was.

I think there are 20 prophets mentioned by name in Quran. And in addition to that, there are three more, who are called as messenger only, they are Hud, Saleh, and Shu 'aib (named as messengers in 26125/ 143/ 178 respectively)
The term 'Scripture' is consistantly associated with 'prophets' in the Quran.
If we count the number of prophets named in the Quran we find a total of twenty prophets mentioned by their names. Each one of these 20 is specifically called a prophet in the Quran.
If we read verses 83-86 of Sura 6 we read 18 names, starting with Abraham and ending with Lot. Verse 89 confirms that all these 18 were prophets of God
"These are the ones to whom we have given the Scripture wisdom and prophethood"
These prophets are
1- Abraham (also named as a prophet in 1941 and 337)
2- Isaac (also in 1949 and 37112)
3- Jacob (also in 1949)
4- Noah (also in 337)
5- David (also in 1755)
6- Solomon
7- Job
8- Joseph
9- Moses (lso in 1951 and 337)
10- Aaron (also in 1953)
11- Zachariah
12- John (also in 339)
13- Jesus (also in 1930 and 337)
14- Elias
15- Ismail (1954)
16- Elisha
17- Jonah
18- Lot
If we add the names of the two prophets
19- Idris (named a prophet in 1956)
20- Muhammad (who is confirmed to be the last of the prophets (3340)
We find that the total number of those who are named as prophets in the Quran is 20
zul kifal is described as described as steadfast, patient and righteous 2185 and 3848 but not as prophet or a messenger
Adam , described as one of the chosen 333 ??.. not associated with the word messenger or prophet
Luqman described as one endowed with wisdom 3112 not as a messenger or a prophet.
