    Peace "IQO"

If you are gonna accept "Bro Edip" definition over all those for the past 1400 plus years, please quote what he said. I am not going to go searching for it, it would be easier for you to just post it since you know where it is.

"khimaar" means headcover because that its what is usage has always meant, not because the word "rais" is in the word. Falling back to root word definitions only for words in Al Quran is a very erroneous way of trying to understand Al Quran, and misleads to the truth.

JK- Wht kinna nonsense argument is tht "coz it has always meant this". You mean thts wht the sectarians want it to mean. Look up a classical Arabic dictionary like Lane's and see what the word means. Dont become like a biased sunni who manipulate terms to suit their own desires, coz YES theyr the ones doing it and theyve the nerve to blame tghe ppl for the same whor actually engaing in unibiased research. MAN, makes me sick!

There are clear ayaat in Al Quran wear Allah distinguishes the importance of "dress" for women, instead of men. Allah has made this distinction because He created His creation and knows its situation best. You all want to make these ayaat irrelevant and non meaning by generalizing them as if they are just after thoughts of Allah rambling, Allah forgive. Women are not oppressed because Allah provided additional instruction and guidance for them, they are oppressed because of ignorance from themselves and men; that is separate from the guidance of Allah.

JK- We dont wanna make anything irrelvant . The Quran tells women to cover their breasts and not expose their beuty delibertely, yes and we all agree with it so wht is the problem?

If a woman has a bad hair day and it frustrates her, just wash it, brush it and comb it to make it nice; i.e. take better care of it. Don't cut it all off, that would be being ungrateful.

    As-Salaamu Alaikum, peace

JK- As i said many ppla re wroking here day and night just to get wht the Quranic terms REALLY MEAN and rid themslves of the sunnis bias introduced into them 4 which ur apparently falling. GOD Bless!

      Salam jonny,

I have to make a comment regarding the following quote from Imam

If a woman has a bad hair day and it frustrates her, just wash it, brush it and comb it to make it nice; i.e. take better care of it. Don't cut it all off, that would be being ungrateful.

What Imam, are you kidding me? A woman would be ungrateful if she cut off her hair? How absurd! With all that many women are required to do during a 24 hour period (work outside the home 8-10 hours, take care of the children, cook, clean the house, laundry, run errands, go to t-ball practice/games, balance the checkbook, help with homework, spend time with her husband, try to get enough sleep so she can have energy for the next day, etc. etc.) OMG, many women jump at the chance to make their morning routine easier. This is HARDLY ungrateful.

Ok, jonny, thanks for letting me vent, lol. I know most of your comments are regarding the hijab, but this joker caught me off guard with the women cutting their hair comment.

And to all you men who do the things I listed above... I applaud you!

          Peace Johnny K,

You have nothing better to do than to start a post with my name? I'm not in need of such special attention. Don't waste your time with such titles for posts.

As far as your arguments go, you haven't said anything that wasn't said in the locked thread. What makes you even think that I would care to discuss it more with you when I have made it clear that my position has already been stated and proof provided? You can believe what you like along with those who believe like you. I really don't care. My posts were for those people who believe otherwise and wanted the proof. It wasn't anymore for you than it was for a Jew, Christian, Buddhist, atheist or other.

So knock yourself out with this thread or any bad comments or insults that you want to throw at me because I refuted what you believe in. I sleep great at night and feel even better after I make Salaat.

To you your Deen and to me mine.

Don't expect me to respond to anymore posts in this thread, after Dotty's, it is a waste of my time which is valuable and precious.

          As-Salaamu Alaikum, peace

Listen Dotty or whoever you are, the reason it was ungrateful was because she only did it because she had a bad hair day, not because she just wanted to cut her hair. So what is absurd is how people like you can't even grasp simple concepts with points of relevance to understand something. You therefore make an argument over every non issue that you can find to try to show how clever and smart you are. But you are only deluding yourselves.

Go and study some Quran and try to make some posts with things other than your opinion with no basis of Quranic scripture. The only "jokers" are those who fool themselves and think that they are following Al Quran when they only follow their own desires and probably haven't even memorized one ayat of Al Quran. But Im sure that you are a Quran only, Quranic arabic and reasonable/logical Islamic scholar, so surely what I am saying applies to others and not you!

I'm finished with this thread, so any replies or anyone one else who wants to join, knock yourselves out, I'm out! handshake

I posted here when I should not have. I came home after having my car damaged from a "hit & runner", and my attitude showed up in this thread. Poor excuse if any, but true nonetheless. My apologies to IQO for lashing out on a topic I did not fully understand. I will manage my self better here. God bless.
