Inspiring ayaat from the Holy quran.
-
Have you come across a ayaat from the quran that motivated you to maybe become a better muslim or even just deciding on how you want to live your life?
And also since only believing in the true words of allah, how has it changed you as a person?
For me I've become less judgemental and learned to accept people for whatever life they choose to live.peace

In terms of inspiration, 1311 "...God is not to change what is in a people until they change what is within themselves...." is one of my favourites. It is similar to Gandhi's famous saying "be the change you wish to see in the world" which is one of two posters I have pinned up in my bedroom.

Peace,
Respectfully.Whenever i read this ayya
12100 And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they fell in prostration to Him. And he saidMy father, this is the interpretation of my vision from before. My Lord has made it true, and He has been good to me that he took me out of prison and brought you out of the wilderness after the devil had made bitterness between me and my brothers. My Lord is Kind to whom He wills. He is the Knowledgeable, the Wise.
I actually cry and think about becoming a Better Muslim.
The whole story is very inspirational to me and i always love to read it.
I once saw a movie about prophet Yusuf.God bless you.

Wow! Nice one, Alen.
I myself prefer inspirational chapters or passages. The last juz of Quran are very fit for that purpose, I feel. They're short, easily memorised yet contain a complete theme within themselves and can be very inspirational.

Peace,
Respectfully.I agree. Also, i have noticed that last 20 or so chapters of The Quran are very powerful informative, because the way i see it, God knows best, The Message is coming to its end and we need to return to The Straight Path.
Just yesterday i was at the Speaker's Corner in the Hyde Park and several sunnis and myself actually witnessed a Chrisitan fella who is questioning trinity and thinking positive way.
God bless you all.

These verses.
The day will come when the transgressor will bite his hands (in anguish) and say, "Alas, I wish I had followed the path with the messenger.
"Alas, woe to me, I wish I did not take that person as a friend.
"He has led me away from the message after it came to me. Indeed, the devil lets down his human victims."
The messenger said, "My Lord, my people have deserted this Quran."
We also set up against every prophet enemies from among the guilty. Your Lord suffices as a guide, a master.
Those who disbelieved said, "Why did not the Quran come through him all at once?" We have released it to you gradually, in order to fix it in your memory. We have recited it in a specific sequence.

Munzir, nice one. Just add the next ayah to your passage (25/33), THAT is a beautiful ayah too

Whatever argument they come up with, we provide you with the truth, and a better understanding.

As a sidenote, it seems some people cant determine the subtle change in colour when one inserts a web link in one's post, so here is the link of the poster
