Protecting Islam from human ideas
-
We were all born in this world and Islam had already been defined to us by previous generations. As I grew up I started to notice contradictions between the Islam I was raised up to beleive in and the way other muslims understand it. The worst for me was the sunni/shia debate and now the terrorism that is spreading in the name of Islam.
I had several conflicts within myself about what is right and what is wrong. The only true peace I ever felt was when I read the Quran because I felt it was so wise and consistent with my life and my experiences as a human. I wantd to discover the truth so I read books and even read the bible and Torat. I found that what is from Allah is concrete and logical to all generations and all humans alike whereas what humans add is only logical to their time, their generation and their culture. I thought about how Jewdism and Christianity had drifted from the true religion and feared that Islam is also drifting but without us noticing it. It is then I started to try to seperate culture and human thinking from Islam and Quran. I fully testify to the true words of Allah in the Quran and I know Allah has and will protect it from human words and thinking. From that point on, I have used the Quran as my guide. Alahmdulilah. -
Salam brother
Thanks for sharing your story
I totally agree with you. The words of humans are not divine, and only the words of God can guide our lives and the future generations lives in the best way.
My story at the "How you came to god alone section" is similar to yours in many ways.
Anyway, welcome to the forum brother. And i hope you enjoy it.
Peace David

Thank you very much for sharing your story. It is always wonderful to hear how others came to believe in what it is that they believe. handshake

Nice story.
You said that Judaism and Christianity have drifted from the true 'religion', but so is 'Islam'. God's system has been (and still is) corrupted by mankind. All of those (what I like to call) 'sects' have twisted the meaning of real monothe?sm by adding their own ideas and/or opinions about God's system and the majority of people just blindly believes it. The only true way is to just believe in one God/Allah/Jah/the Great Force (all beautiful names belong to the Almighty) and peace/tranquillity.
Don't get to influenced by the opinions of others and find your own way into the Almighty's "system", 'the system of peace and love', like how I like to call it.
Once again, welcome!

Peace,
Taking action is the hardest part because we link to much pain with it and pleasure to avoid it and that is why it is easier just to go on with what the majority believes.
That applies to all walks of life. brickwallPeace
