Yes, that's what I'm implying. Maybe someone can clarify...

i think i was high when i was reading that (not really) but i guess i didn't compute that you were reading it in that perspective. "Anyways ignore my previous post...

I think Al Quran is authored in such a way that it works both ways...

          Peace

It is an imprint from one rasool to another who meets the requirements of the office.

"Keep note of 2253. I'm reading the Quran from a direct perspective - not from "God to Muhammad" but "God to the reader""

If you are a non believer, Non Muslim, you may read the Quran from a direct perspective, but once you claim you are a believer then you can't change the order of precedence
Ya_ ayyuhal lazina a_manu_ a_minu_ billa_hi wa rasu_lihi wal kita_bil lazi nazzala 'ala_ rasu_lihi wal kita_bil lazi anzala min qabl(u),

I believe in the earlier revelation of Books not on the strenth of history but because this Messenger and the Book certified the fact of earlier sending of Books. It is illegal as well as stupid to believe in anything of the past unless it is certified. I believe in Jesus and Moses {Peace is upon them} not because history books are full of their mention but because the Messenger and Book said they were the Messengers of Allah. I can't be a believer if I reverse the order of my belief, starting from Adam and ending with the Last Messenger. I have to begin with the Last Messenger and go back in history to Adam. Please clear you perception and perspective that will help remove confusions of mind. And remember certification of the past is never through just oral proclamations like that of RK, it has to be on the authority of the Book, and in daily life through an enactment of the Parliament/Law. In the absence of the Book certification of the past has no value and is meaningless.

                Requirement of the office!

                Huzoor said

                Bukhari
                Volume 3, Book 36, Number 463

                Narrated Abu Huraira

The Prophet said, "Allah did not send any prophet but shepherded sheep." His companions asked him, "Did you do the same?" The Prophet replied, "Yes, I used to shepherd the sheep of the people of Mecca for some Qirats."

                    Peace be upon you,

Yes, YOU are a messenger. I am a messenger. We all have the potential to be messgers WHEN and ONLY WHEN we speak and act according to TRUTH. Its as simple as telling someone not to smoke cigarettes..that is a TRUTHFUL statement that serves to make someone healthy and live longer. Is that message not from God? ;D

I wasn't exactly thinking with that mindset I actually forgot what I was getting at when I posted this thread, but no matter. Why does the Quran keep shifting in addressing people? And 2253 shows specific criteria for messengerhood, how can anyone be such?
