    Salaams All,

To see who was OMMI an Arab or prophet Moses ? just check the Ayah?s surrounding the word where ever it accurs , but remember mistranslation is rife.

Check your quran 2859 to see what Ommi means or check a dictionary.

Wama kana rabbuka muhlika alqura hatta yabAAatha fee OMMIHA rasoolan yatloo AAalayhim ayatina wama kunna muhlikee alqura illa waahluha thalimoona
2859 Nor was thy Lord the one to destroy a population until He had sent to its CENTRE an apostle, rehearsing to them Our Signs; nor are We going to destroy a population except when its members practise iniquity.

I have, I think, corrected the following.

Wamin ahli alkitabi man in ta/manhubiqintarin yu-addihi ilayka waminhum man in ta/manhubideenarin la yu-addihi ilayka illa madumta AAalayhi qa-iman thalika bi-annahum qaloolaysa AAalayna fee al-ommiyyeena sabeelun wayaqooloonaAAala Allahi alkathiba wahum yaAAlamoona

Among the People of the Book are some who, if entrusted with a hoard of gold, will (readily) pay it back; others, who, if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding, because, they say, "there is no call on us IN THE MAIN/ CENTRAL WAY ." but they tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it.
    2.

Huwa allathee baAAatha feeal-ommiyyeena rasoolan minhum yatloo AAalayhim ayatihiwayuzakkeehim wayuAAallimuhumu alkitaba waalhikmatawa-in kanoo min qablu lafee dalalin mubeenin

It is He Who has sent IN THEIR MIDST a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-

Moses was sent back to the Israelites to teach and persuade them to make a move to leave Egypt ? I think.

        Saalaams Br,

Br, books don't fall from heaven - Humans write them or compile them.

But we are reading a book not compiling a new book. Manners of reading a book do not permit that one should start writing a new book and at the same time keep saying this is of that book. It can be called a fun not study of a book. God bless

Yes Br, you are reading a book written for you by men

            like;

            080.011
YUSUFALI By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction
            080.012
YUSUFALI Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.
            080.013
YUSUFALI (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour,
            080.014
YUSUFALI Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,
            080.015
YUSUFALI (Written) by the hands of scribes-
            080.016
YUSUFALI Honourable and Pious and Just.

And again books don't come from up somewhere.

And Kitaab in the quran isn't a book - i doubt it, but don't let me confuse it doesn't really make that much of a difference.

But, when i have the time i enjoy the research.

            God Bless All.

              Peace,

I dont agree with Mz's interpretation of ummiyeena. Firstly, it doesn't take into consideration that the word is plural. Secondly, it takes no Arabic grammar in consideration to get this meaning. It is pure conjecture unfortunately. Ummiyoona has to be plural and has to be something connection to the concept of umm (Ummiyoona/eena is the plural of ummeey(un)) mother, base, model, center, reference point, destination). Please Mz take Arabic grammar into consideration when you go through these processes.

I don't believe the Quran is created by a man, but if this is your opinion you are free to think what you would like. But why does the Quran even interest you if you believe that men created it, despite what it says?

              Godbless,
              Anwar

It is allways conjecture Br, when we go against firm beliefs.

The book is the creation of men but all goodness is shown by God - the direction, and what we do with it is up to us.

That is whether we make a porn Magazine or a helpful book - i think.

And we can analyse the ayah's one by one if you like- if it interests you.

Last of all i could be mighty wrong too.

But why does the Quran even interest you if you believe that men created it, despite what it says?

despite what it says- it is everything to do with what it says , apart from the fact i have been programed thus

                • i believe.

                Gods Blessings.
