    Peace,

Ive had this question in my mind. How would we recognize God and/or His/Her/Its presence? The reason I ask this is because God has no shape and we cant even imagine what God is. So lets say we wake up one day and it seems like the Judgement Day. We see a powerful being. Is it God? Or did something else happen?

How do we know what God is and how would we recognize Him/Her/It from a deceiver? I personally say that we would know, but I dont think that idea is good enough. Perhaps others have a better opinion on this matter.

    Peace

      Salam,

I believe you have already answered your question in part.

So lets say we wake up one day and it seems like the Judgement Day. We see a powerful being. Is it God? Or did something else happen?

When we wake up where are we waking into? And when is "Judgement Day"? What do you see? And more importantly "what" (metaphorically?) will "speak" for you?

You already made a most important assesment here

The reason I ask this is because God has no shape and we cant even imagine what God is. So lets say we wake up one day and it seems like the Judgement Day.

So with this in mind, how could you know what you can't even imagine? Do we even have the capacity? We have many factulties.. but what are they used for? To wake up one day in this duyna and see God or to awaken after death in hopes to see "the face of God"?

      peace...

For example, we could be hypnotized. Our brains can be fooled. How do we know that the real yawmideen is real and not a illusion or a hallucination. Would we just know?

I think when you said "what" will speak for you is a good start to me understanding the concept.

        Peace

          Salam,

Once again, I see the keys to your question right within your own words.

The best function of human nature is to overcome itself. If we look at human histroy and even the ideas spouted on this site as in the form of "progression" we can easily see that humans are hasty beings. Do you remember the Verse from the Quran that states humans (man) is a hasty creature?

So it is not unfathomable to understand that humans are hasty in wanting proof, or wanting to see God here and now using such feeble factualties (yet the most prized) human brain.. and then the mind...

Patience.. faith... etc. etc.. will lead to God?

Thanks again for this thread. I believe this is a great topic to be explored by us all.

          peace.

Very good post once again brother. I believe I understand what you are conveying. You have indeed exposed my lack of understanding what God has put forth, thanks again.

            Peace

I agree. We all help each other, however small it may be, to the truth . Everything is for a reason, thank God.

                Peace
