If time travel is possible...

I would do anything to be able to time travel. My first destination is surprise surprise, 7th century Arabia so I could meet Muhammad once and for all.

Be sure to bring a notebook, pencils, voice recorder, as many recording equipment as possible bro. And do bring us back some authentic hadith! Or if you can't go back at least leave the notes for us to find.

...and never forget to carry with you a sword or a time bomb in case someone hunts you down wherever you are. O, and a camcorder would be must. -
I would go back to Jesus and record his words, then become a Byzantine emperor, mysteriously "die" in the early 6th centruy and compare and contrast with Muhammed.

I'd say that when time travel is made possible by scientists, their words will be retrofitted into quranic verses which will instantly become miraculous (because they predicted time travel thousands of years ago). That's how it'll be placed in Islam. And then we'd endlessly debate about whether it's morally right to go on time travelling family vacations.

Personally I dont think it would matter. I dont believe its possible to alter history and if we tried, we would just end up causing the event you wanted to prevent.
