Take the day to write down all the good things of my life....then the bad things that I learned from....then the bad things I should have learned from...and close it with a "Thanks God. Was a good a run. Love, Keeley"

        Peace

What would you do? I know that some people would do crazy things that they had never done before, some to the extreme. In the religious scope, people would probably sell off all their homes to get in a good light with God and go to the church/mosque and pray till they die. What would you do different?

        Peace

              Greetings,

It was actually this exact thought that prompted me to make my stand to my husband and stop wearing a headscarf....I thought, what would happen if I were to die and had to face God with the knowledge that I had been doing that which I didn't truly believe in, in an act of acquiescence to another human being? I felt that it was a form of shirk and I didn't want to face God in that inauthentic state of being. I had been lying to my husband and my community by my actions and thus fearing man/men more than I feared God (who I feel doesn't care whether or not my hair is covered).

(BTW, I feel much better now, and would now likely spend my last day hanging out with loved ones at home.)

That sounds like a good call sister. Fear no one but God. What did your husband have to say about that? What of your community and parents?

He wasn't happy. But when I put it that way, what could he say? He relented and has learned to live with it. My community is mixed, I've seen all sorts of reactions. Mainly that non-muslims are more friendly and open to me, while the 'muslims' don't talk to me at all -- both those who don't know me and the ones that do!!

My parents are non-'muslim' -- so they were quite pleased! LOL

Walkdown through my memory lane, and see if there's any persons who I've done wrong to and seek forgiveness from them.

                      Salam

Depends on whether its is my last day alone or everyone else's too. If it is my own last day, I will pay off my debts if I have any. If it is everybody's last day, I won't bother paying back anything...what are they going to do with it?

Apart from that I will go on with my "life" as usual.

The truth of the matter is that we should live as though every day is going to be our last, that means being a good Muslim and following the teachings of the Quran. If you do this, you will not panic when the REAL Last Day comes, but you will be highly anticipating your eternal reward.
