YUSUFALI Many are the Jinns and men we have made for Hell They have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle,- nay more misguided for they are heedless (of warning).

I think they are metaphors for our thoughts/emotions...but I could be wrong. Either way, invisible beings called "jinn" don't exist.

I think jinns are people like you and I. Their is more evidence supporting the idea that they are physical beings in Al Quran then their is supporting the idea that they are invisible spooks.
