      Peace MZ,

      I was watcing a video from IRF (Islamic Research Foundation) and one of the dai was talking about Hinduism and how he is a Hindu, an Indian. He then when on to state some passages from Hindu scripture which Im not sure of what it was and stated that Vishnu is the Cherisher/Sustainer and Brahma is the Creator. The only problem is when you apply an image to God, be it in any religion. Vishnu is our Rabb while Brahma is Khaliq. IRF is founded by Dr Zakir Naik who is a student of comparitive religion. He has many videos on Hinduism and Islam. If you like, I can give you some links. The remarkable thing is how he and the other dai have remarkable memory.

      Peace

          Actually the other way around, but words are just words, same with God. Like I mentioned with Vishnu and Rabb, similar meanings. As the Quran states

          7180 The most beautiful names belong to God so call on him by them; but shun such men as use profanity in his names for what they do, they will soon be requited.

          2080 God! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names.

          5924 He is God, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

          Whether in India, Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem, Americas, etc.

          1636 And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming) Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!

          Of course there may be some discrepancies, man changes things. Even in Christianity, Jesus doesnt preach shirk, he preaches monotheism, as those before him and those after him. Millat Ibrahim is not only for the descendants of Ibrahim, but there are similar fashions around the world prior to and after him.

          From what IRF states when they quote Hindu scriptures, it teaches monotheism. There are also hindus that practice monotheism, while there are those that practice polytheism, and even those that practice neither. Just like Christianity, Islam, etc. with varying sects.

          3103 Hold fast to the Rope of Allah, all of you together and do not separate

          6159 As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least Their affair is with Allah He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did

          Peace

            Well Br,

            Looking at the argument;

            What the Hindu scripture says;

            ?I shall enforce the strong creed of the meat-eaters. My follower will be a man circumcised, without a tail (on his head), keeping beard, creating a revolution, announcing call for prayer and will be eating all lawful things. He will eat all sorts of animals except swine. They will not seek purification from the holy shrubs, but will be purified through warfare. Because of their fighting the irreligious nations, they will be known as Musalmans (Muslims). I shall be the originator of this religion of the meat-eating nation."?

            Apart from everything else!

            Now this statemnt was made before Islam or later on when the then muslims were amalgamated into the new Islam rather then islam.

            No?

              "islam" was not a hindu concoction but something from the creator. Is it surprising that someone thousands of miles away can make that prediction? The Quran says that every nation has a messenger who will call its people to God (1047). To describe "islam" as a "concoction" is just a travesty, because a concoction implies that the hindu invented it and it is false, but what he did (if the scripture is true) is describe Muhammad.

                  Sorry OP, you obviously a believer in predictions makes the whole argument void - but however i don't give any weight of any kind to such a thing being a prediction.

                  But would like to add islam of the quran is totally different to the Islam practised in the world.

                  And Afrid a muslim didn?t write the Hindu scriptures ? unless you have some historical evidence Br.

                  ?According to the Hindu scripture?

                  God Bless.
