I'm actually quite scared of Wakas, he's taller than me! Though I suppose I could beat him at arm wrestling, they don't call me Bicep Betty for nothing now.
Tbh, SHM...I don't see the need to participate, I can just read the threads. Any decision we make is based on fact and not unevidenced opinions. I would humbly suggest not making this into an issue... let's all just get along eh? We all know, we are very diverse and still a part of this forum so why differentiate? Remember back when we discussed the verses and all that? We didn't have this PM crusade then? I think we should individually discuss what we need to with different members and not lump some/all into "The PM Org" or any other group/org for that matter. I honestly don't want to see anyone get banned here if they have substantial stuff to contribute and they will be banned if they consistently break the rules. Peace.

Let me reason with you. Do you really think I hate free-mind that much that I want to get ban? No, I have my opinion about FM and PM, but I do enjoy participating in the forum. Its serves it purpose. You are always logical and full of reason with your responses. Since you refuse to participate in my survey, I wouldn?t force you (like if I can J). But please tell me, do you think I should be ban for opinions? Should I be ban for my observations? It is not me who ?lump? everyone under PM, it is the site. This is progressivemuslim.org isn?t it not? Why deny and become sensitive about this classification when criticism follows it? What if I had positive ?un-evidenced opinions? about PM, would I really be facing this treat of being ban? Let be honest.

Till now, the main focus of your posts is yourself and how you will be banned because of your thoughts. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy, it has nothing to do with the FM board.

It's good to know you enjoy participating on the forum! I'll break down your post so I can give my understanding on each point.

SHM, you have to understand that yes technically people can get banned for their opinions it's in the rules (#2 & #3). In the past, for example, there was this one poster who posted weird pics of homosexuals being hung or something with commentary to the effect of "gays should die". That's just one example. Then there were other examples of consistent offensive, hateful and uevidenced opinions by certain posters who abhored the fact that certain people out there follow a book they consider to be from God.
There is a line between stating what one feels to be the case and it actually being the case. Once or twice doesn't do it, it's the consistent part that becomes harrasment and just plain annoying. Most threads I've seen, the scenario you present has been refuted time and time again. Isn't it time to just lay down the sword and make peace?

There was this one poster who got banned recently, he kept insisting why He in arabic is used for God. It took a lot of repetitive posts explaining why with facts before he finally gave up. Pity he started off again on something else then. But in this case, I think it's clear..there is NO doubt whatsoever and it has been repeated time and time again...PM is a bunch of diverse individuals...there are no qualifications, no questionaire, no survey one has fill out to become a member of this forum!
Think of it as a title for a forum please, like say, Miss Victorian Dolly Forum (for the discussion of vintage paper dolls). You could join and I could join because our love for vintage paper dolls unites us, even though I might find the 1880-90's bustle far superior than the 1850's hoop skirts, which you apparently adore. With me so far? Somehow, I end up posting more than you and tomorrow the site admin decides to make me a mod to help out on the forum. Does this mean I've pledged my life's blood in some infernal pact and suddenly become a part of the Real MVD (ms victorian dolly), the elite inner circle, what is known as one of the super ultimate secret societies for taking over the world one dolly at a time? No, it might surprise you but it doesn't mean that at all. We are all the same bro, on the same page yet different even though we are members of a forum.

And Mr. Mustard said the same thing earlier in the form of an article gasp...etc etc (just run a parallel to whatever has been said here). Lots of members then take it upon themselves to tell you what they think, how you might be mistaken and what it might be. Okay, that's that right? But no, now YOU take it upon yourself to post about it every opportunity you get...even though nothing changes from the last time you brought it up...See what I mean? This is annoying, it is harrasment. It is liable to get you kicked out of MVD and there might be no more Scarlet O'Hara dollies for you, ever.

If I'm being brutally and scathingly honest, I will say that the times we have had positive unevidenced opinions are rare compared to the times people have come out, stoked up the hate and the rants. And I will say another thing, the time that I did see something like that way back, don't remember exactly what it was but it was kinda optimistic and positive, Wakas was there to ruin the party and ask him how he came to that conclusion. He's nothing if not consistent (in ruining parties as well).
Secondly, no one was/is a PM fanb0i to my recollection, consistently praising and heaping sugary goodness on the forum. If they were, then believe me, that would be pretty damn annoying as well. If no one else, I'd be personally spearheading the crusade to rid the forum of this entity from the dark side.

If i feel Wakas is acting like President Bush in Iraq with regards to this forum, I will make noise about it until he stops or someone stop me. To me Wakas is Bush and the moderators are UN Council if you understand my point.

Let's stop and think for a moment. Do you think the other's don't feel/think/believe that YOU have been attacking them unjustly? Wouldn't they do what they can to stop it? Or to bring awareness to the poster they believe is attacking them and others?
To compare Wakas to Bush and Iraq, and bringing in the UN is not fair because that brings up connotations that have nothing whatsoever to do with what's actually transpired. It's a gross exaggeration to compare any one of us members/admin to those levels, all over an argument on the forum.
You've made plenty of noise about this SHM, people have given you their time and patience...some have tried to explain logically, other's nicely, some not so nicely but it's really old now. I think it's time to put a stop to it and make our peace. I would suggest walking away from all this and starting over.

SHM, as I have said if you spent as much time on gathering and citing evidence for your claims as you do attention seeking and playing the victim card, you might be in a better situation.
It interests me that you are resigned to the fact you will be banned. This is a clear indication you yourself know you cant justify the claims you've made. Not even an attempt to cite evidence... speaks volumes about you.

I will be the first to say anyone within this forum who expresses his views and opinions (with or without evidence) and is ban or subject to being ban for it is NOT justify unless his or her views are harmful. No one have proven to me why my statements and observations about "Progressive Muslims" and Free-minds.org having no consensus and no actual progression with regards to basic Quranic and submission religious elements are harmful. I think my statement actually bring benefit by forcing people to answer tough questions and objectively analyzing the organization and its forum.
