    Salam all,

Okay need some help with an assignment so decided to post this here. Can anyone think of a principle of architecture mentioned in the quran? There are more marks if we can get/derive it from scripture, so please help out.

Architecture is the art and science of designing buildings and structures. A wider definition often includes the design of the total built environment from the macrolevel of town planning, urban design, and landscape architecture to the microlevel of construction details and, sometimes, furniture.

Architectural design is primarily driven by the creative manipulation of mass, space, volume, texture, light, shadow, materials, program, and pragmatic elements such as cost, construction and technology, in order to achieve an end which is aesthetic, functional and often artistic. This distinguishes Architecture from engineering design, which is usually driven primarily by the creative application of mathematical and scientific principles.

      Peace to all,

Read this article SC, it has Quranic references about architectural principles in Islam,, scroll way down for actual verses. I also remember reading in the Quran verses about ceilings of silver, if I find it I will post it for you, God willing.

Heh, it's more to do with human elements or say utilising/endorsing the Fibonacci sequence for example, in a fitting setting rather than just the sequence itself in a way. It's difficult trying to find one since I haven't come across any suited to the assignment in question. The question is a bit specific so thus harder to please .
