The omnipotence paradox / Paradox of the stone.
-
I'm sure most people here are familiar with the omnipotence paradoxes.
If your not, it goes something like this
Can God create something he cannot lift/control? If he can, He wouldn't be able to control/lift it, which renders Him as someone who's not capable of everything. If He cannot create it, then He is not omnipotent in the first place. What's your thoughts o
n this? Is there any credibility behind this paradox? -
Such a paradox is silly. A semantic error if anything. Let's define these correctly; in accordance with the laws of relativity
Unstoppable force - Relative to this, nothing can get in the way
Immovable object - Everything moves relative to thisSo can God create an unstoppable force and an immovable object at the same time? Why yes he can, it's called the universe. The immovable object is known as the big bang singularity, seated at the central point of space and the beginning of "time". The "unstoppable force" is the animation of such a point resulting in the universe as we know it.
So the big bang is the immovable object creating an unstoppable force. An unstoppable force meeting an immovable object would be a big crunch. Defying "cause and effect", the prior scenario is far more mind boggling than the latter and God has accomplished that 14 billion years ago - we're a bit late.
Let's rephrase the question If there are no idiots around at the time to question whether the universe exists and then it is created (unstoppable force), and then the idiots come to be (immovable object), does the universe still exist?
If you don't understand the sheer power of "God" then don't be surprised to find out that when you question his power, you actually do not understand. These paradoxes are only paradoxes because people like to get lost in mental masturbation, there is always an example from reality itself that easily resolves a paradox.

It's in the questions. It's human language--human construct. It's already circular and (arguing) it will be circular.
If you ask about its credibility, then here goes my opinion it is just about as limited as the questioner's mind.
Nothing wrong in questioning things--just be aware of our own limits. Otherwise, we could be claiming things we know nothing about.
