If she is a minor you should dennounce it to the police or the judge, if she is of age but she cannot dennounce herself, then you should do it too.

419 is talking about not being harsh toward women but that's talking about husbands and wives.
but no parent should hit their child because they don't like the person they're dating, it's not their choice, it's the son's/daughter's choice and if they're not breaking any quranic rules it should be ok.
2235 ...but do not meet them secretly, unless you have something righteous to say...
parents should just deal with that

Is beating wrong, yes or no?

Whose responsibility is it when there are three parties, one oppressing the other of the remaining two (assuming the previous answer is "yes&quot?

Is dating another man wrong, yes or no?

          where does this happen ?

          lk

i ask this question because no verse, no hadith will solve this problem...and if you live in a country that legally or just morally permits that behaviour, then what can you do ?

the girl / and the man need to be very strong. i can only hope that things will calm down and find a righteous and hopefully peaceful ending

Then why say "another"? Is she involved in a relationship with her parents (god forbid)? ???

The female is an adult. However, its the traditional family sort of deal, so even though she's an adult, she is still a child. As for the country, I dont think it matters. Although its wrong to hit people, it still happens. Especially in a Muslim household, no ones going to tell. Its more of traditions than Islam, however with verses of Quran it might help, even though they hardly practice Islam.

                  Peace amuslim,

It sounds to me like religion has nothing to do with it. There are certainly several possibilities but we can't really ascertain the root of the problem without more details. You say they are both muslim, however, are they different races? If they're the same race, are they from feuding families? Is there a hierarchical family structure within the race/culture? Or is the guy simply in the wrong profession? Maybe he seems like a loser to the parents? Or maybe he's just a jerk?

In short, why do the parents object?

Moreover, whatever their objection may be, beating a grown woman is culture baggage manifested into psychological damage. No ayah or hadith will get through to a parent who thinks it's ok to beat down his/her adult daughter. She needs to get the hell out of her house and her parents need professional help.

                  Peace,
                  Tay

Their both the same race but the family just never liked him, even though he's a nice guy. The family curses, no respect, etc. but they claim Islam nonetheless, which is why I was wondering if theres anything that can be just thrown in their face regarding that issue.

Well shes out of the house, but I was just wondering about the situation in regards to Quran.

                    Peace

My advice, anyone who's capable of beating their adult offspring for simply making decisions that they do not agree with is certain to have very thick skin. I would conclude that any and all ayat and/or hadith you come up with will simply be brushed off as they're certain to be on the defensive. If your goal is to find something "that can be just thrown in their face", there are many alternatives. But what will this accomplish other than fanning the flames?

It sounds like a relationship that needs repair and there are many strategies one can implement in pursuing a healthy relationship. It all starts with identifying the negative catalysts and taking it from there. Many times a heartfelt conversation can get the ball rolling. Sometimes just a hug. Other times it may take years of slow progress. In any case, the goal should be to grow a healthy, peaceful and loving bond. If she keeps that in mind, I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

                      Peace,
                      Tay

                        Salaams,

I have a question. Is there anything in the Quran that can relate to a women being beaten up by her parents because shes dating another man? Both the man and the woman is a muslim but her parents dont want her with that man, so they put her on house arrest and beat her. Is there anything in Quran that states that the man should save her from this predicament? I dont think theres anything that states it on the fact, but perhaps something that can relate to it? Any help is appreciated. Even a hadith, if the family is Sunni?

                        Peace

                        Salaams Amuslim,

Are you that man? I would tell the abusive parents that all our deeds on earth we will be questioned of on Jday. God is merciful and forgiving and if we wish to follow his straight path we need to adopt, in our limited way, all His good qualities. God will have mercy on those who are merciful Insha Allah.
