Ok samia thanks, but what about the age of responsibility? Does a disbeliever child go to hell?

No, of course. But it can't be 40! (Look up at my first post)

The punishment for suicide is death. God's justice

Scuse the tongue-in-cheek but what do you mean? Fire and brimstone? Someone driven to killing themselves, clearly not sane.

          Peace,

If Im not mistaken, I thought you CAN commit suicide in certain situations? Situations that you have no other way to get out of? Astagfirullah but I thought I read such a thing in Qur'an? Also, what if you commit suicide to save others? That doesnt mean you dont not appreciate your life, its all about motives.

          Peace

You can' kill yourself to save others. You try to save others in dangerous situations that most probably would kill you, but with a percentage nevertheless that you would be saved, trusting God in that. Even in war situations, if 1% would survive, a soldier hopes to be among the 1% and not the 99%. That's how you can save others putting the destiny of your life with the destiny of theirs, and thus you have a slim hope of saving yourself too, because if you die you are good for nothing

But you cannot donate your heart, for example, to save someone else.

Peace samia, how do u deduce that children wont go to hell? Which verse? And why did God mention the age of 40 and not 11 for instance?

Because, possibly, an 11 year old is still held by his mother.

What kind of a nation are we going to have if all its citizens in their prime age are liars, cheaters, murderes, adultrers or...dead?

USA? England etc...? The world in general!?

Yes, I can see everyone here is in denial...

                    Ok how about
"What is the punishment for suicide?" - Nothing for you! ;D
                    Ok.. guess not funny eh?

The sin of suicide is that you cut yourself off from a chance to do right...

Peace, so how do i prove to hadithists using quran verses that an 11year old idolworshipper wont go to hell? Wont they laugh if i use arguments like 'possibly'? But if i use the 'and when he reaches the age of 40' verse, you wont agree that it is the age of responsibility? So either way, you fail to provide an answer. How can you then claim quran is complete?

OK, look at it from this point of view. Hadeethists have spun themselves into the delusion that anyone they think is going to hell is destined to hell. Unfortunately you fell into that trap. The truth is that God has the final say, God is 100% equitable, just and fair in his decision, and God alone decides. Whether or not an 11 year old will go to hell for committing suicide is for God, the creator of that 11 year old, who knows that 11 year old's mind inside out, who knows that 11 year old's mental maturity inside out and who knows everything inside out, to decide.

The quran is complete beyond human idiocy.

It's not about age. It's about being able to distinguish between right and wrong. It's the ability to reason that matters, not the birth certificate. Quraan does not speak about numerical age but about rationality 46.

The verse you allude to is not about the general puplic. Most probably it is about a specfic person...

                                  It's called "reason".

So instead of hadeeth based sheep we have "quran alone" sheep. Subhanallah.

Well, in some cases reason is of no use. Like here. Everything is systematic in quran, you have to use analogy, but here no where can we read about any age of responsibility except the verse saying when he reaches 40.

Please tell me where in the quran it says anything about an actual age of responsibility.

You used your reason to deduce the existance of an "age of responsibility" but you refuse to think any further. Do you realise the quran also mentions a child's weaning is over after 2 years?

What about like the Japanese and Kamikaze? Lets say they are at war. They have no more ammo to use, so they kamikaze (same as suicide bombers). Is that still suicide? Lets be more specific and say that this would certainly win the war for you against the oppresors and say your familys wellbeing and life were at stake had you not done a kamikaze. How would you view this?

Also, being gluttonous is similar to suicide, isnt it? What if you die because you were too fat? I thought the only wrong doings that God would not forgive after death is shirk?

Of course God is the final judge, but based off of ayat.

                                          1. I still will not kill myself intentionally so that one or a million have a good life. God says that if you kill one soul it is like killing the whole world.
                                          2. God should be your savior. If you find death is better a savior than God, you commit shirk. Shirk has a thousand and one faces.
                                          3. Fat or obese people do not become so in order to die.
