"The True Furqan"

truly remarkable... a Christian friend of mine accidentally brought home a book from the Baptist college bookstore where he works, called "The True Furqan". it is transparently patterned on the layout, style, and wording of the Quran, yet instead seeks to propagate a trinitarian message, and denounce Islam and teh Quran.
i was truly shocked, amazed, and deeply incensed. this book uses ("steals" would be more accurate, really) the beautiful wording, imagery and messages found in the Quran, and twists them to attempt to denounce the monotheism of Islam and the validity of the Quran itself.
has anyone else heard of this book? if anything this text has strengthened my faith in the Quran, and in the message of the Oneness of God. it is truly something when a Christian must blatantly rob from the beautiful Quran its literary essence to convey an untrue message (trinitarianism), so that those who read the Quran and find it true might be confused.

4140 Surely, those who distort Our revelations are not hidden from Us. Is one who is thrown into Hell better, or one who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you wish; He is Seer of everything you do.
4141 Surely, those who have rejected the Reminder when it came to them; and it is an Honorable Scripture.
4142 No falsehood could enter it, presently or afterwards; a revelation from a Most Wise, Praiseworthy.
4143 What is being said to you is the same that was said to the messengers before you. Your Lord has forgiveness, and a painful retribution.
4144 And had We made it a non-Arabic compilation, they would have said "If only its verses were made clear!" Non-Arabic and Arabic, say "For those who believe, it is a guide and healing. As for those who disbelieve, there is deafness in their ears, and they are blind to it. These will be called from a place far away." -

i mean they have plundered the beautiful contents, style, wording, and message of the Quran to create this book of lies and market it to unsuspecting Muslims who are familiar with and revere the Quran. it really goes beyond the pale...
if you want to spread the message of Christianity and share your faith with others, ok. one should have that right. but to be so sneaky, disrespectful, and under-handed in spreading that message...
as i said, the existence of this book as a tool against Islam only strengthens my faith is the inherent truth of the Quran... that God is One, and that the Quran relays only truths about God's nature, and our relationship to Him. may God be praised- He is exalted above what they associate. He is the One, the Sustainer of the Universe, the Merciful, the Eternal.

It's a pile of rubbish and while it sounds really poetic, it doesn't stand up to any scrutiny. The exact opposite for the quran.

The title is using the arabic word for salvation.
No trickery. It is obviously a Christian book for Arab speakers and an outreach to Muslims. Look at the index.

i agree completely.
imagine someone taking the exact format and wording of the gospels and messing with the text to make it sound like the message of Islam. Christians would be outraged! as well they would have the right to be. it's not really the same as sharing one's faith. if your "truth" is so convoluted and confusing that you have to wickedly rip off another person's religious text and cut and paste your own doctrine to get anyone to look at it... that seems wrong to me.
if the Bible is so perfect and speaks for itself as Christians claim, why wouldn't Christian missionaries or converts use it to talk about their faith?

In most Muslim countries you can not carry a Bible without threat of losing your life. Saudi Arabia does not let Bibles into the country period!
And it will not let the "true furqan" either. So, what's the point of writing it to people who will not have access to it? Anybody who can have access to the true furqan has access to the bible already.
