Salat and Blood Sacrifice

To add to the mix of ideas - we seem to mostly agree that Salat times are at dawn and dusk (fajr & isha) and that God is implored and the Quran recited - however, I have been examining a new element which is that of blood sacrifice.
Bare with me...
The link primarily comes from 1082 which speaks of slaughter and salat in the same verse. This led me to rethink the entire "and take from the maqam of Abraham a Mussala" in 2125.
Abraham asked God to "show him the rites" 2128. Then, in what seems to be a fulfullment of this request, Abraham sees himself slaughtering his son in a recurring dream...When Abraham goes to slaughter his son, he is replaced with an animal sacrifice.
The lesson that I see The animal sacrifice = the value of ones own life
If we think of the original sin of Adam and his mate and how Adam was no longer pure to be with God (hence he was expelled even though God forgave him) then the animal sacrifice seems like a temporary redemption of the soul where a person can purify his/her soul as they symbolically kill themselves by killing the animal (redemption with God was at one time attained with the command to kill ones self 254) and then purify the body with ablution in order to be acceptable to commune with God - God being ultimate in purity and thus cannot be approached by anyone or in any form except that which is acceptable.
I found this line of thinking repeated in Jewish and Christian theology where the Jews had a communion with God that was only possible based on 1) blood sacrifice, 2) ablution, 3) a timing of either dawn or dusk. This communion was held in what was called a
tent of meetingthat was a mobile set-up for Salat. In Christianity, they considered Jesus to be the ultimate blood sacrifice and hence believed that the bond between man and God was forever restored with no need for anyomore animal sacrifices.http//www.injil.org/TWOR/40.html

Question
Isn't there a verse that says something along the lines of the blood doesn't reach me but the piety of the heart, or something to that effect?
