You will not reach righteousness/piety until you spend from what you love; and whatever you spend, God is aware of it.

    Thus, what do you love?
And more importantly, do you spend/give from it?

Just something we should all think about.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

      A very sunny day sun

I don't know, it gets my mood up like crazy. I can't stay angry or sad if it's sunny.

What does it mean? I read it as though it means giving up something you love thats not right? like you might like drinking or something and you give it up?

          Peace Wakas,

I love my private time, yet sacrifice/"donate" it regularly.

          peace

            salaam,

Like loving to sleep late in the morning, but getting up everyday before dawn to do prayer? I wish I was that disciplined, although I don't like sleeping late in the morning so this is not a good example of what I love.

What I do love is time to myself...... love it so much! It's extremely difficult for me to get any time for myself. With my husband and 3 children, a full time job, a home to run, other family and friends, etc... Prayer is about the only time I get alone now (only recently because my youngest would crawl around me and try to hop on my back during prayer if my husband was not around to watch her).

So for me... time to myself is what I positively love and I feel like it is sacrificed every day. Inshallah God is happy with me.

            peace,
            dotty

P.S. Funny... just as I was typing this Tay posted too. I bet this is something many people love.

              peace all,

OPF, I would think it has to be something you can spend/give from.

Nafisa, I prefer to stick with what the sign says

Tay, Dotty.... time is a good one, as long as one spends/gives from it in a selfless way, otherwise I'm unsure if it would count.

You can spend & give for a good mood. It's a nice 'coincidence' that I woke up to a very sunny day today... Hmm hmm

Something tangible? Hard to think of, because there's too much.
