Question concerning the Middle Prayer and use of language

    I included this here because it is about the Qur'an's use of language and not actually about salaat (i.e. it is about the possibility of this specific point).


    If it is illogical to say "prayers AND the middle prayer", what about

    "And when We made a covenant with the Prophets AND with you, AND with Nuh AND Ibrahim AND Musa AND Isa, son of Marium, and We made with them a strong covenant."?

    Qur'an 337

    Does this not suggest that "prayers/salaawat" does not have to refer to every one?
