peace I don't know if there is any other thread like this but I have a question I've been dying to know and God willing someone will answer me. Question is If you done a sin that is not shirk like lets take an example, murdered someone and didn't repent, if you've done like 10k good deeds and only 1 bad deed, will that bad deed take you to hell if God doesn't forgive you that single sin or what?

First off, sin is not an islamic concept. The concept of "Sin" originally came from greek religion, then it became a part of christian religion, then it became a part of traditional islam. The word sin does not exist in the Quran. So "sin" is not an islamic concept. So if someone that goes against the teachings of the Quran, it is called wrongdoing/mistake.

From my understanding of the Quran, If a person does a very bad deed, and disobeys the laws of Allah, by for example robbing a bank, he or she should repent (do tauba) and promise God that he or she will not do that bad deed again. If people do something very wrong, like for example robbing a bank, they will only be forgiven if they repent. They must do tauba. And then do good deeds. And then they will be forgiven. Good deeds can erase bad deeds.

Will one bad deed outweigh 10 good ones? In my opinion 1 bad deed will not outweigh 10 good ones.

      Quran 6160
Whoever comes with a good deed, he will receive ten times its worth, and whoever comes with a sin, he will only be recompensed its like; they will not be wronged.

Oh i didn't know sin wasn't islamic, but still if a person is driven out by Satan (ofcourse the person cant know) and does a big sin, he cant do tauba because its not accepted if you were aware what you were doing, so the bad deed will remain, can it be cleaned by doing good deeds or it will remain that way, if it remains that way, whats the punishment?

I think you are mixing things up here. You rob a bank and then there was a kid who became a mental patient after this robbery, or you killed some one during this robbery, you ask for Tauba and every thing is fine? No! for crimes their is punishment in Quran and based on Quranic punishments there is Law for every social crime one commits.

            Salam

            Consider these verses

2884 (Asad) Whosoever shall come with a good deed will gain good there from; but as for any who shall come with an evil deed - they who do evil deeds will not be requited with more than what they have done.

4123 (Asad) It may not accord with your wishful thinking - nor with the wishful thinking of the fol?lowers of earlier revelation - he who does evil shall be requited for it, and shall find none to protect him from God, and none to bring him succour,

6120 (Asad) But abstain from sinning, be it open or secret-for, behold, those who commit sins shall be requited for all that they have earned

6160 (Asad) Whoever shall come with a good deed will gain ten times the like thereof; but whoever shall come with an evil deed will be requited with no more than the like thereof; and none shall be wronged.

            and

            (1031)
1031 (Asad) CONSIDER the flight of time! -
            (1032)
1032 (Asad) Verily, man is bound to lose himself -
            (1033)
1033 (Asad) unless he be of those who attain to faith, and do good works, and enjoin upon one another the keeping to truth, and enjoin upon one another patience in adversity.

In regards to your question don't you think different actions may have different consequences?

besides not all answers are black and white, so many variables. not all punishment is clear cut, those who do good/wrong will deal with God.

Isn't one of the purposes of life to constantly improve, to amend bad ways and create better ways forward?

Is not repenting in islam the word tawab? does not the word mean turn back to? i.e. turn back to the good and refrain from the wrong? what the point of living if you're just going to continue doing wrong?

what is repenting? what is sinning? what is hell?

            peace.
