Her website for the translation is here
        http//www.sublimequran.org/

I have been in contact with her in the past via email, but I have not read her translation in full.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Just for women? Do you think that beating the more vulnerable one is not bad for the beater? The beaten bears the physical pain, the beater bears the moral corruption, only they are not conscious of it.

Although I agree with the interpretation, but I am uncomfortable with the justification that lead to it. I mean, her reason why it can't be "beat them" is that the prophet did not beat his wives! Such weak justification can easily backfire with a "Perhaps because he did not "fear their nushooz"!
