English versions of the Quran

Has anyone read "Al-Qur'an Guidance for Mankind by M Farooq-e-Azam Malik"? Does anyone have an opinion or criticism of this version? I'm currently reading "The Message" and I like it very much, but it is a bit difficult to follow at times. Although this is not a bad thing since it makes you concentrate harder to understand the message. On the other hand, "Al-Qur'an Guidance for Mankind" uses some in-line "comments" to help clarify the text. This makes it much easier to comprehend. What I'd really like to know, is this a prejudiced sectarian version, or an unbiased and accurate translation?

Any comments or opinions?

Any translation with inserted text will be biased by the translator's understanding. And for that matter, any translation, period. Read what you're comfortable with, but always cross-reference as many different translations as possible when it comes to studying the meanings.
